What are  your views on this. Would money be better spent on birthcontrol in impoverished countries, rather than food and medical care??

yes...I think birth control is a good option compared to food and medical care, the expense will be increasing interms of Food and medical care when the population is not kept under control. There is too much of population and very little food to distribute and same is the case with medical care. Organizations like WHO and UN are unable to tackle such situations due to high populations, and birth control will have much better effect in impoverished countries.

Yes. Obviously.China is worlds highest populated country. But they controlled it very strictly and now they are competing with Well developed countries. But apart from controlling the population simultaneously a country will grow rich when people are healthy and happy. So food and medical care is also required. That is what economically developed countries take care .(otherwise without any effort population will be reduced with more death rate)

Its better to target the root cause of all the lateral problems...the R&D on better contraception techniques will ensure good health and living standards in years to come...besides the present contraception options available have a deteriorating affect on a women's health...which again keeps at stake the health of the whole nation...of curse spreading awareness is vital...
