Tech is any day better provide you invest in companies with a bit of history and not fly-by-night operators.

technology gets outdated and th elife span is small,it can be mass produced ut land would remain the same.depends were the land is situated if near a growing area then yes land, depends how new is the technology you are investing in and th e scope for its growth.the revenue it can generate and how fast is the cycle.if i am looking at investing for a long term i would prefer investment in real estate.

If you consider stocks / equity then technology. If its property against technology equity then realty.

I think at the present scenario I would favour blue chip stocks over the realty sector. It is better to be out of realty stocks. The broader blue chips of the market are available cheap, on relative basis in the last couple of months. These are a better buy than real estate stocks according to me...

Real estate sector rarely goes down. With reduction in still & cement prices and home loan getting cheaper this sector will do much better in this year. Again the investment in real scrips and investment in property are two different things. If you invest in shares it may go up and down and to predict the market is very difficult and on the other hand if you invest in property it is definitely going to go up.

Real estate is the best option for investment, as it will give you best returns comparing to IT. I would prefer to invest in Real Estate, Gold, Silver, Art rather then IT.

Real Estate will never change and always appreciate its value. Leaving few exceptional Real estate is immovable property which never changes BUT Technology is meant for Changes and will keep on Updating. For shorter duration Technology can be beneficial But Real Estate will always help either Shorter or Longer term.

I would prefer Real Estate because it is one of our basic needs in our lives. There may be times in our life where we will need a property to solve our problems, not technology.

real estate, technology shall get cheaper with demand and mass production, not the same case in case of property.

I am confident about real estate companies sorting out current problem of leveraging and come out performing well in 2-3 quarters. I don't wish to ignore even the most distressed sector as they pay handsome return when cycle turns +ve for them.. buy real estate stock on decline we can not live without house.

I prefer real estate than to blue chip scrips. I do agree that real estate has some set backs in the recent past. Real estate is not just construction front. Real estate is investing on lands also. But it is a long time investment. One should have the patience to keep the property for atleast 10 to 15 years. As far as short term gains are concerned, blue chip stocks are doing good.
