Zardari claims Osama bin Laden is dead: Is he really dead?

Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has said that al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden is dead, but has sought more international aid to expand military operations against Taliban, in areas where Americans believe he may be hiding.

He replied this to questions raised by many whether Pakistan would act against Taliban militants based on its soil who carried out cross-border attacks against foreign troops in Afghanistan.

On Osama, Pakistan President, however, did not put forward any evidence or details in support of his claim that world's most wanted terrorist was no longer alive. Even earlier Zardari had put forward the same claim, which was not accepted by Washington.  And there was also recent news that former Pakistan PM Nawaz shariff had met Osama nearly 5 times. There is also no news of Osama's video which were being circulated by Al jazeera news channel.

According to me Pakistan is just covering it up even though they are acting against the taliban in the swat valley but its more like an eye wash just to obtain more funds from the west to survive, as their economy is very low and Zardari is just making up these statements time and again and even US is not ready to agree as there was not enough evidence in his claims, so he is very much alive and Pakistan would be the last country that we will see taking action against Osama.

Not at all.Even Taliban, at the time of ruling Afghanistan claimed that so that the world stops searching for him and they can carry on their terrorist activities. Pakistan is also doing the same so that US doesn't come in their country. They are already struggling with internal matters so are just trying to avoid the international affairs...
