Duration : Jun 2006 - Mar 2008 Client : Pipe Fabrication Shop Team Size : 5 The Spool Management System is catering to functional automation required for maintaining the spool fabrication data through out the fabrication lifecycle of the spool within the fabrication shop. System interfaces with SAP for inventory and billing purpose and also with RFID and GIS in-house systems to track the location of the spools. Moreover, system is equipped with reverse billing concept valuable to save contractor bill authentication and certification time for the Engineer Incharge. This portal is accessible through out Reliance Intranet in India. Deliverables: As a lead Software Analyst my responsibilities include - Understand the requirements from the functional leads (clients). Application Development and functional support. Drive and Participate in Code validation. Build basic test cases Automating the data transfer to the interfaced systems(Barcode, RFID ,GIS) Present the software to the management for the review of important modules and induct the new joinees for using the system. Achievements: Have achieved session transfer between ASP and ASP.NET modules through a custom class file. Have used impersonation to upload drawing files to the application server. Have given training of more than 100 man-hours to engineers.(users) On daily basis via system generated e-mail, reporting is done for the data transferred to interfaces like SAP, RFID etc. Client achieved automation to reduce the entire operation cycle to satisfactory level and use of AJAX extenders made the modules run fast and made look and fill of the module dynamic. System has links with plethora of supporting applications developed by third party like SAP, Barcode System, RFID System, GIS and other in-house developed applications which get supporting data transfers through the system automatically. Secondary Responsibility: To interact with other Bank of America Merrill Lynch clients outside India(e.g: Hong Kong, Singapore, Jersey City, Jacksonville, Dublin, NY Metro etc.) for software development and production support Currently preparing for the Capital Markets and Investment Banking certification from CISI - UK | ||
