PHP5 is open source and used for developing dynamic web site.Its run on almost all type of Operating Systems. However ASP is limited to Windows only.

PHP is easy and ASP is convenient as both are executed differently. ASP runs on server side and makes website slower in case of overloads. PHP executes on client side which makes it faster but with no or less security features..! So it all...
