Sony is yet again ready to layoff 10,000 employees. It is not clear if this will be from Japan or overseas. This makes us think that how unpredictable can working in big brands be. We normally think that we should go for a big brand instead of working for a small company but when incidents like this happen they tear away our dreams, make us rethink and take away our sleep. If a company is going to lay off so many people where would they go, what would they do and how will they move forward. We have no answer to these questions. According to Nikkei‘s sources, Sony might also request that its seven executive directors — including Stringer — return their yearly bonuses. Sony hasn’t officially ...

Very simple. First thing: stop whining and complaining. A business that does not do well, will not be able to retain employees. Like it or not, that's the way things are. Keep your skills sharp, qualifications up-to-date, experience in line with...

Lay-offs happen only when you don't have business. In Kolkata I am seeing many big companies shutting their doors. The reason is poor business. I don't know the scenerio of the other states of India, but this is happening in our state.

To cut costs and decrease expenditure across several companies they may lay off some top executives which is very hard to exceaptable.

This is a wild allegation. I cant agree with. Parents may have their aspirations about the future of their kids. They may be missing some care in the run to catch the trend for that we cant blame.

It is a task worth investing in. The competition is intense when appearing for the exams and good psychological assistance can be a major balm for the students at their tender age.

Yesterday I read an article which made me think that do we really feel guilty about the leaves we take? I remeber applying for my first leave when I had confessed that I wouldn't have taken the leave if I knew I would be joining so soon. I had also promised to be available for any offline work if needed. I have seen others doing the same, I have seen people working extra hard so that they might feel that they have earned their leave. When you joing a company you have an agreement which specifies the number of leaves you can take. You also deserve that weekend or in some cases that half day of saturday and in some cases just that sunday. Perhaps either we are too concious because we are a ...

Chetan Bhagats Article in todays TOI : Specially for Indian Women. Do Read it and share it with all the women in your life Alright, this is not cool at all. A recent survey by Nielsen has revealed that Indian women are the most stressed out in the world: 87% of our women feel stressed out most of the time. This statistic alone has caused me to stress out. Even in workaholic America, only 53% women feel stressed. What are we doing to our women? I'm biased, but Indian women are the most beautiful in the world. As mothers, sisters, daughters, colleagues, wives and girlfriends - we love them. Can you imagine life without the ladies? For now, i want to give Indian women five suggestions to red...
