Hiding folders in xp and vista without software : xp: windows xp contain a hidden system folder called recycler whatever you need to hide just cut the folder and paste it there. accesing recycler quickly: goto root of your drive and type c:\recycler where 'c' is drive letter of your current drive. vista: windows vista contain a hidden system folder called $recycle.bin whatever you need to hide just cut the folder and paste it there. accesing $recycle.bin quickly: goto root of your drive and type c:\$recycle.bin where 'c' is drive letter of your current drive. The data cannot be searched in search provided by windows in anyway.

Hello All, Regarding the Qoa trick mentioned above for reserving the bandwidth.... does this work? what is the basis? This can be of any use only if there are programs on the system that require the bANDWIDTH RESERVATION, normally not in XP...

It is always advisable to understand what we are comparing: we cannot compare Symantec's Norton antivirus with McAfee's TOPS and similarly we cannot compare McAfee Av with Symantec Endpoint Protection. their functianality levels are different....

I would definitely agree with sanjeev on his point. Moreover Norton firewall does a very good job of hiding your PC from malicious attacks. And it offers customisable control over which applications can access the web.  so in my view norton...

one way is to use the inbuilt "forfiles"
