A European cult that mixes yoga with sex and pornography has been found to be operating out of Chennai.Training nearly 100 youngsters in yoga and 'tantric love' at a rented house in Chokalingam Nagar, Teynampet, for more than two years now, the Movement for Spiritual Integration in Absolute (Misa) is trying to spread across the country. Once upon a time a tortoise and a hare had an argument about who is faster. They decided to settle the argument with a race. They agreed on a route and started off the race.  The hare shot ahead and ran briskly for some time. Then seeing that he was far ahead of the tortoise, he thought he’d sit under a tree and relax before resuming the race.  He sat under the tree and soon fell asleep. The tortoise plodding on overtook him and soon finished the race, emerging as an undisputed Champion. This is the version of the story we’ve all grown up with. The moral of the story is slow and steady wins the race. The story continues…. The hare was disappointed at losing the race and did some soul search...

I don't agreee with a salary cut ,because that just demotivate an enmployee to perform due to monetary loss, Making aware to an employee in advance before 2 months is prefered, so that he will find another alternative career option or to find a...

Dayanand i partially agree with you as this would mean that companies dont think twice before recruiting people. Again, laying off employee just mean that you dont trust your employee potential. There are other ways to deal with the situation....

Human Capital: The knowledge, education, training, skills, and expertise of a firm’s workers. In general, the best jobs that remain require more education and more skills. For example, we saw that automation and just in time manufacturing systems mean that even manufacturing jobs require more reading, mathematics, and communication skills than before. For managers, this means a growing emphasis on knowledge workers like skilled machinist Chad Toulouse, and therefore on human capital. Human capital refers to the knowledge, education, training, skills, and expertise of a firm’s workers. Today, as management guru Peter Drucker predicted several years ago, the center of gravity in employment is...

Go Kiss the World – Subroto Bagchi This speech was delivered to the Class of 2006 at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore on defining success by Subroto Bagchi CEO MindTree.   I was the last child of a small-time government servant, in a family of five brothers. My earliest memory of my father is as that of a District Employment Officer in Koraput, Orissa. It was, and remains as back of beyond as you can imagine. There was no electricity; no primary school nearby and water did not flow out of a tap. As a result, I did not go to school until the age of eight; I was home-schooled. My father used to get transferred every year. The family belongings fit into the back of a jeep – so the...
