" SEAL OIL SYSTEM OF 210MW TURBOGENERATOR"

                    In reference to above I hereby trying to put ,what the knowledge I gained during my 23 yrs. of service in  MAHAGENCO , MAHARASHTRA as power engineer. I am very thankful to my organization,which has given me so much apportunities in various fields.

             It is not easy to gain so much knowledge in power generation sector,specialy in thermal power plant.It is so huge,one will get retirement while learning itself.I am trying to put what I have gained, that my friends and experts will bring my mistakes in light,so that I will try to correct it.

              Major auxiliary system in 210MW TURBOGENERATOR is "SEAL OIL SYSTEM'

The requisite sealing of hydrogen for the 210MW Turbogenerator is is provided by means of double chamber thurst type of shaft seals.Any abnormality in these seals or the associated seal oil system may lead to escape of hydrogen from the machine and even an lead to explosion in the worst case.As such it is very much necessary that the highest attention is paid while operating and maintaining the seal oil system.

             Later on I will try to elaborate the system in next meeting.
