During engineering we have studied a small topic called absorption chillers. These chillers mostly uses waste heat generated from different processes in the industries & gives required cooling effect. On the other hand conventional compression chillers uses high grade energy called electricity. These new generation absorption chillers can operate on the waste exhaust gases from power engines or turbines. Also it can use solar energy through hot water to give required cooling. As most of the energy is getting consumed in industrial utility sector, I think use of absorption chiller is necessity of time. Moreover these chillers do not use ozone depliting CFC's. These chillers can be used in commercial complexes & office buildings for air conditioning purpose.

Walk or bike to work. This saves on gas and parking costs while improving your cardiovascular health and reducing your risk of obesity. Consider telecommuting if you live far from your work. Or move closer. Even if this means paying more rent, it could save you money in the long term.

Lobby your local government to increase spending on sidewalks and bike lanes. With little cost, these improvements can pay huge dividends in bettering your health and reducing traffic.  

Green house construction must be opted to reduce the use of man made energy, thus save earth from pollution.Solar energy may be utalised in cooking, heating water and lighting also.Recently govt .has started providing subsidy for using solar enery for lighting purpose in certain states.It's a good step.

We should start using more battery operated vehicles (mostly 2-wheelers) as it would be cheaper, safer and cleaner transport facility. having a separate lane for these kind of 2 wheelers on roads will have less pollution and safer ride. In city for small distance travel it would be more useful and definitely it will reduce the pollution levels in cities as most of the people use 2 wheelers for small distance transport. As it is better in traffic and faster way to reach destination. Also price of these battery operated scooters is very cheap. @10-15000 INR. We can convert our bicycles to a battery operated scooter and use same more efficiently. I think it is easy, cheap, safe and clean option available for go green faster.

Use of Cloth Bags should be encouraged instead of Plastic Bags or Paper Bags

Growing More Trees has a positive impact on Environment

Eventhough it is comparitively expensive, every one should start investing and start using solar and wind based power generation at home and small industries.

Its a must investment and need of the hour for the future to be safe.
