India is a very critical market right now. As the outlook for the US and Europe slows...the interest levels here continue to go up. There tends to be a lot of focus on the outsourcing origins of all this, but this is just a minor part of the story. The bigger part is they can come up with technology centre and commercial development in India. Going forward, companies can reorganize the business and create a separate P&L (Profit & loss) so that they could be more responsive to the market and make decisions quickly. With the talent available in India the companies will be going to be a great advantage for them.. |

I support this idea.
R& D center is good idea as India have lot of talent to be used in this field of invention.
India as a R&D center would be leveraging the one asset we do have namly brains!!
Apropos the discussion, why cant India get in to genuine and creative product development instead developing other people's ideas in the manufacturing sector and ITES sector.
The world is facing some major issues right now....particularly in the energy sector. I would like to see India start the ball rolling by coming up with creative products that reduce our dependence on polluting fuels.

After outsourcing, dont we think we have the capability and capacity to train the employers of the company. They can invest on Learning and Development center, as we have good potential in training. |
