Just days after the deadly Pune terror attack, top al Qaeda terrorist commander Ilyas Kashmiri has vowed to continue attacks across India. In a message sent to a media group, Kashmiri, whose 313 Brigade is an operational arm of the al Qaeda, said that his group will attack India until the Army leaves Kashmir. He also issued a threat against the major sporting events like the Commonwealth Games scheduled to be held in Delhi later this year.

What has raised doubts about the involvement of the Qaida-LeT-JuD nexus is the mention of Pune attack during the so called Kashmir Solidarity Day conference held by terror groups in the Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) on February 4. Hafiz Abdur Rahman Makki, leader of terror outfit amalgam Jamaat-ud-Dawah, in his hate India speech during the conference mentioned about attacks on Indian cities, including Pune. Makki, brother-in-law of LeT founder and JuD chief Hafiz Saeed, in his speech said three Indian cities, including Pune, would be targeted by the "Jihadis to teach India a lesson".

In this situation, what steps do you think India should take now?

Follow the footsteps of Israel

idea posted by Kavitha Shankar Sr/Principal Coresspondent, ABC

I think we have had enough. We are among world top 10 superpower and still these small and weak militant groups have so much courage to attack and threaten us which shows the weakness is within us. Our political system is corrupt, we are not taking proper action against Dawood Ibrahim whose empire can be destroyed within no time if we seriously try and are not taking any actions against all the suspects roaming on streets only due to the fear of "minority rights" which may lead to riots and make the government fall.

I believe. If India takes straight and strict actions like Israel did against Arab countries, then Al-Qaeda won't be able to do any harm to India as the whole world togetherly also is not able to do any harm to Israel. Also, India should increase its Defence, Police, Security and Intelligence power and give them full freedom to take all actions they feel right to take at the time of emergency.

True Kavita...basically take a leaf of US & Israel's books for once...Well for a fact India does take a soft stance now and again for unknown reasons against terrorism & radicals whatsoever with regard to spending precious/useless time in futile negotiation, extraditions & peace talks. Would also appreciate if the defence forces in india would be given more leeway in counter attacking terrorism & providing security.

I can agree with you. I got big surprise after watching news about Warnings from Intelligence Agency to MH Govt. for the attack. MH Govt. is still sleeping & found HANDYCAPED again. Indian politics & Indian politicians are going to high now - who will stop them? More than Indian Govrmnt, we INDIANS has to wake up & take this call. Everyone should act as a WATCHMAN, we are so busy & so selfish , just wants to runaway from our responsibilities. Why those guys are DEAD , just because they did not concern about what is under the table? How many actualy check BUS or TRAINs? NO ONE!! How many of us care about who is our NEW NEIGHBOUR? Just stop get depend on Govt., try ourselves to clean the dirt.

Sorry - It is not the proper time for a "Quick Reply". We must watch and observe rather than being sentimental and provokating.

We must be ware : interested parties are out ( again ) to foment unrest so that "peace" may not come forth in India and India sub-continent.
