I have been a Nokia loyal right from the start. There has bee no change. I have used from basic model in college to a Smart phone now and Nokia has always made me hapy with the features and durability. Phone might have fallen many times but still it works as good as it did on day one. If I had an iPhone I do not think I would have been this happy..

@Khaitan, the support is not for Ajay Kumar Khaitan. It is for the idea 'Samsung'. And it is your opinion and the supporting persons' opinion that Samsung is the best.

And as you know, there is no single correct opinion.  A feature which is seen as good might be seen as not so good by another.  Some of my friends think that HTC is the best, iPhone is cool, Nokia is the most affordable, etc.  All the opinions are correct  depending on what you look for in a cell.

A MESSAGE FOR MR AJAY KUMAR KHAITAN

idea posted by Rajeev Sharma Strategic Analyst, Columnist, Publishing
Dear Mr Khaitan, I have been noticing your comments of late on this site and I must congratulate you for becoming very positive and stretching your hand of friendship to all, including your detractors. This is a big positive development and a welcome departure from your previous posts which were full of hatred and personal attacks. I take this opportunity to appeal to Mr Ardhendu, Mr Murthy and Mr Naharul (also Ms Gurleen) to bury the hatchet and become friends. I would also like to tell them it does not matter whether somebody is a Ph.D. or 10th pass (irrespective of whatever the factual position may be in the case of Mr Khaitan). What matters, and should matter, is how wise, knowledgeable and most importantly humane, you are. If all of you were to converge in Delhi in near future I repeat my offer of hosting all of you over lunch. I look forward to a positive response to my appeal from Mr Ardhendu, Mr Naharul, Mr Murthy and Ms Gurleen. Best regards.

Dear Mr. Rajeev Sharma Ji, I'd request you not to deliver those email IDs and my take on Khaitan won't change ever because I am very much sure the he is camouflaging like a chameleon right now (according to my calculations). Anyways I really appreciate your concerns and approach, you are a nice man and you tend to look everyone through that binoculars so may be you are able to observe optimism but we are still optimistically pessimist about that Khaitan. and please I'd request you to take a look look that he is publicizing the e mail ID over a forum, I am not sure how secure is this?

YES NOKIA IS MUCH BETTER THAN THE REST!

NOKIA IS COMPATIBLE WITH ALL WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEMS, YOU CAN CONFIGURE YOUR DESKTOP OR LAPTOP WITH THE SUPPORT OF NOKIA PC SUIT SOFTWARE TO CONNECT INTERNET.

WHATEVER THE MODEL BE NOKIA LETS THE WINDOWS INSTALL ITS MODEM DRIVERS SO THAT A VIRTUAL ADAPTER (DIAL UP) CAN BE CREATED TO DIAL "INTERNET ACCESS POINT" (PPP).  ONE CAN CONFIGURE THE MODEM SPEED ALSO WHICH LIES BETWEEN 1200 -  921600 (BPS) AND IN THE SAME WAY COM (COMMUNICATION) PORTS CAN ALSO BE CHANGED, SOMETIMES IN WINDOWS PORTS DO NOT LET THE SIGNALS FLOW, THE PORT WHAT WE CHOOSE FOR MODEMS, THIS OPTION RESOLVES SUCH ISSUES.

DATA ENCRYPTION IS POSSIBLE WITH PROTOCOLS LIKE PAP (UNENCRYPTED PASSWORD), SPAP (SHIVA PASSWORD AUTHENTICATION PROTOCOL), CHAP (CHALLENGE HANDSHAKE AUTHENTICATION PROTOCOL), MICROSOFT  CHAP, (MS CHAP FOR WINDOWS 95 SERVERS).  EAP (EXTENSIBLE AUTHENTICATION PROTOCOL.  NOKIA EVEN SUPPORTS UNIX:SLIP CONNECTION, ITS A TYPE OF DIAL UP SERVER, ONE CAN HAVE A LOOK OF THIS OPTION, JUST ACCESS PROPERTIES OF VIRTUAL ADAPTER - NETWORKING TAB.

OF COURSE, LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST FIREWALL CONFIGURATION.

LET US TALK ABOUT DEMERITS: -

I MENTIONED ABOVE ALL WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEMS, BUT MICROSOFT CORPORATION DID NOT PROVIDE ANY KIND OF DRIVES FOR NOKIA IN WINDOWS VISTA.  ONE MUST HAVE COME ACROSS SUCH ISSUE, BECAUSE I TRIED ONCE DIDN'T SUCCEED, WHICH HAD NO SERVICE PACKS INSTALLED, I MEAN, WINDOWS VISTA ULTIMATE EDITION, EITHER  IT WAS A VIRUS PROBLEM OR PERHAPS A MISCONFIGURATION.

BUT WHEN IT COMES TO WINDOWS XP AND WINDOWS 7, BOTH INSTALL ALL DRIVERS ONCE CONNECTED TO USB PORT (2.0).

SO FAR NOKIA HAS HAD GOOD JOURNEY.

Let me write on my experience, My first one was a motorola which I liked much, it even had AA battery to power with and good 'signal processing'. Then I changed to NOKIA which was good though with noisy signal processing sometimes. Then I moved back to a motorola cheaper phone though signal processing as smooth as the earlier one. Then again I moved to NOKIA with normal sp. Then I moved to Motorola Q9 excellent smartphone, then to a Sony Ericsson which was extreamely good in signal processing and functionality. Then into a Blackberry Pearl which is compact and neat phone all around. I now also have a Sony Ericsson Aspen 3G which is extremely functional. I am told Samsung is very good. Altogether I feel Nokis higher ended ones has good signal processing. Motorola and Sony Ericcson with Blackberry probably has better signal processing which is available only on higher ended Nokia. Samsung is well liked with loud reception.

NOKIA is like a heavy-weight champion, on the other hand, SAMSUNG is like a feather-weight champion. Whether NOKIA or SAMSUNG, they are akin to dead corpse, if we do not have a robust service provider who provides service, as promised.

Talk about Display, Speed, User Friendliness, Camera, Cost Effectiveness, Features and any thing in concern Samsung beats all it's competitors in the world way ahead and other brands are just good for nothing. Nokia is poor in camera and Display. LG is poor on electricity consumption part and battery. Motorola is poor in User friendliness. Blackberry is under controversies. Apple IPhone is irreparable and you have to get a new one as the phone gets wrong. HTC is Hyper Tension Cellphone. Asus is very Costly. SAMSUNG IS THE BEST

Nokia has lost it except probably for the high end ones, Samsung is better these days, Xperia is equally good. HTC is great in performance but not captured the market.

For advanced users, HTC is the way to go - oflate. It is outpacing Blackberry. Nokia is a gone brand globally - but not yet in India.

In my opinion Nokia is brand of India and a brand of common man. If we see the quality of handsets and features which nokia provide in lower and middle segment. These are far much better than other brands. Best features and strength of Nokia is its handset quality, body of handset, signal strength, battery life. Coming on to the higher segment yes, Nokia is facing stiff competition from operating systems not brand. as we know nokia runs on Symbian Operating system Symbian and recently introduced windows 7.. I think still Nokia have its own market and it will continue to rule market....
