Encouraging small & medium level companies to go for public fund is another way of creating more self-reliability & stop depending on US & European companies for jobs. If we encourage these companies by giving them all possible business facilities to go for pubilc fund, these companies will be developed as a big organisation along with more job opportunities. |

India must ban export of raw materials. Be it for any industry and Indian business houses need to stand up a take a lead to set up industries. The Government ought to catch up on infrastructure or privatise if it can not handle even power generation and rail, road etc. Exporting iron ore and importing steel can not develop the country. The same applies to several other raw materials. |

Dear Sudeep,
The decision of US President Obama, right or wrong is aimed at affecting US interests.
How much it is affecting India, is of crucial importance and must get utilised for our course corrections.
If we fail to learn anything, we can only blame ourselves.
India has the numbers and the future, how well can we sustain and use will decide where we heading.
I think this seems good idea. India can become a manufacturing hub and generate more job opportunities. Unwanted exporting of certain raw material can be stopped and only the essential material which is must can be imported. Sometimes, the exported raw material is coming again to India as finished goods.
Thanks for the referral Mr.Ravindra Ji.

India should become a primary global power that sets the trends instead of capitalizing and exploiting prevailing trends. The "follower" syndrome has made us a nation of service providers. The time has now come to become a nation of trend setters! |

As it is said, "The best laid plans of mice and men often go astray..." and especially when impacted by the near-disastrous economic conditions that are affecting much of the world today...and particularly the so-called "developed nations". There's "nothing personal" in Obama's policy shifts and certainly nothing with hostile intentions directed toward India or China.
The fact of the matter is that, even in the midst of the worst economic recession since the Great Depression of the 1930s & 40s, the U.S. is still the largest and most productive economy in the world. And whether its "ranking" changes over time is unimportant to the fact that it is still to the advantage of other nations, and especially the developing countries of the world, namely India, China, Brazil, etc., that the U.S. remain a healthy, vibrant economy.
It is Obama's responsibility to ensure this, to promote and facilitate it...and NOT at the expense of other economies, but toward the overall well-being of all trading partners. It is to America's advantage, as it is to all nations, that socio-economic conditions worldwide become and remain as harmonious as possible.
This being said, it seems to me that if India does not wish to find itself so vulnerable to such policy shifts, it is the responsibility of the Indian government and the Indian people to manage their own economic affairs in such a manner that they do not find themselves at the mercy of larger, more powerful economies.
The answer does not lie in trade wars or international hostility of any kind. The answer lies in reducing Indian dependency on foreign capital and technology, and in (re)focusing its domestic resources on its own development...of its own resources, of its own primary industries, of it own export potential, of its own internal markets, of its own small business potential, of its own capital & credit sources, and of its own human resources.
Again, there's "nothing personal" about any of this. It's not nationalistic, ethno-centric or "Jingoistic" to pursue such a course of action. It's simply a matter of taking care of one's "own family first"...and that attitude, as it evolves into policy, rubs both ways...that is, for Americans and Indians alike.
Agree Mr Kandadai,
We would need to change the mindset first that forever prevents appreciating out of box thinkers, innovators, critics and honest professionals.

Once again we see that when it comes to US's own interests, they care little about WTO,Free trade etc.etc.etc.... As usual, they do not practice what they preach. Why is it countries like India bow down to WTO at the drop of the hat!! We should realise that the world is about helping yourself!Once we are strong YES then we can go about practising WTO.Lets feed, clothe and house our own people first before trying anything else.

If somebody capable of doing 40k job,and if that money is spent in US lot of employment can be created. If u do not have capable people that job will not go to that country. Ultimately loss to economy. If u make things costlier jobs will go to someother country and those countries will prosper. |

If we really want to be self dependent then entrepreneurship is the only way to go, where one is creating more jobs and also making sure that revenue is also being generated. I saw a post should every entrepreneur get funded on Toostep, And I think they should be, that is how we will be able to tackle, US recovered just because they stopped the job flow, and now with Euro crisis even if european countries also do the same then all the outsourcing companies which are there will go out of jobs and will face severe problems and once again there will be a crisis kind of a situation..So promoting entrepreneurship is the best way to tackle this problem... |

Thanks for supporting Rathin !! :)
I agree with you Sudip on this. Yes enterprenureship should be promoted. The funding should be done selectively in future profitable Project Reports i.e after the start up it should be profitable within 2 years of operation and the second man in comand will be from the fuding agency so that the funds should be used as per planned.
I am of the openion in this way the enterprenure will be profitable with a check on misuse of funds.

GOVT/GOVTS SHOULD COME FORWARD TO ENCOURAGE TALENTED PROFESSIONALS TO STAY IN INDIA EITHER WORK FOR INDIAN COMPANIES OR START THEIR OWN VENTURE,SO THAT WE ARE ABLE TO UTILISE THEIR TALENTS FOR THE BETTERMENT OF OUR COUNTRY AND ALSO CREATE JOB OPPORTUNITIES FOR MANY OTHERS. |

Most of the US based companies offshore their work to India and then return back finished product into Indian market, clamping an Import tax on such products will help local providers to step up their infrastructure due to higher margins and USA will be forced to bring in their investments in form subsidiary companies(permanent investment and job creation). India need to develop its full value chain rather than being an part of value chain. Being a part of value chain always puts in risk of being replaced and we should try to avoid it. |

I would like to support Mr. Manjunath here. Bharat Ganarajya.. that is what it should be... |
@ Abhishekh He has clearly explained the differnce between an enterpuener and an owner.. But the problem of the debate is that we fall in neither as we are not into business.. But if he asks that what you wanna be.. I would love to be an enterpuener..... |
Believers believe and non-believers don't . No one can tell what will happen tomorrow but we want to get assurity which makes us feel more secure and so we want to believe in it. All the astrologers are taking advantage of this mentality. |
