Shortage of Nuclear engineers

idea posted by Vipin Tripathi Sales/BD Manager, Target
India has very few education institutions that can create nuclear engineers due to India's isolation after its tested nuclear weapons, which denied the country access to fuel and new technology, dried up demand for professionals and scientists in this sector. Now this will have a major impact on the Indian Nuclear Power with shortage of Nuclear engineers.

Dear Vipin,

Shortage of Nuclear Engineerings is not anymore a challenge for India, you only need to start searching more, there is a course which is been offered by Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University in M. Tech. Nuclear Engineering and a course by University of Petroleum & Energy Studies in M. Sc. in Nuclear Energy.

I hope you will find the two options interesting.

I agree. In fact, the talent crunch would be made worse due to good opportunities in different sectors, as well as demand for talent abroad.

Land acquisition

idea posted by Vineet Prakash Sales/BD Manager, Tata Power
Tata's faced an obstacle of Land Acquisition for their Tata Nano project which made them quit from Singur and setting up nuclear power plant would require government to acquire land, which is always an obstacle as we Indian treat our land as our "mother" and don't want to give it away.
