New leaders many a time are not able to cope up with the new status. After getting hired directly for a higher post or after getting promoted to a higher post they usually try to show off their newly gained position in the company. And by this they loose the faith & trust of their people who were they colleagues sometime back but now as the new leaders has started showing off they wouldn’t respect him or obey him cause of his arrogance. And for new hired if they show off they will never get support of the employees who has already gained a position in the company by their loyalty and hard work.

Thinking that they are above the bench makes them loose the support of the followers. First loosing the support and then follower.
i am bit satisfy with this..leaders actually forget there real job after getting the tag of "leader"
New leaders think that they are living in a world where every skill that they develop or position achieved will become obsolete within few months and hence they try to show it off. This should not be the case. You endorsing yourself will not get you value but if that is done by others through recommedation and testimonials will be better.

Leaders are different from managers.. It is very important for leaders to understand the difference. New leaders often gets confused on this which leads to mistakes in achieving their goals. |

Many people hope that they have natural leadership skills, and accept leadership positions without proper training or mental adjustment. This sink-or-swim approach works sometimes, but not always! Building up leadership skills, increasing awareness of
yourself, and evaluating what you do have much more potential for success. It will also give you more room to make mistakes without losing credibility. |

There is no faster way to lose someone’s trust than to fail to deliver on a commitment or promise. In making a promise to a team member, a client, or anyone else, managers may not be thinking about all the possible things that could get in the way of them keeping that promise. Imagine that you promise a team member a bonus upon the successful completion of a critical project. Do you have absolute authority to deliver on that promise? If not, Make a different commitment; promise only what you are 100 percent certain that you alone can deliver. |

People new to leadership roles may try to copy a leader they respect, because the person provides an easy model. This can create a false impression of what you are really like, or, worse, make you look foolish for trying to mimic a style incompatible with your own personality. Leadership behaviors come from within. Understand what it is you respect in the other leader and think about how you can best display that attribute. If it doesn’t work, don’t be afraid to try a new approach.

I am the leader and hence what i say goes, because what I say is what I know and you must follow it blindly!! Arrogance can be good sometimes to get oneself noticed, but as a leader humility is in accepting that I am what I am because of my team! That would make a great leader. |

During an interview or even later there are things which your HR should not know. These are the things which might reduce your value or become an obstacle in your progress or may be get you rejected in an interview. What do you think are the... |
Perhaps in next few months we will see rise in the activity. Right now things are cold and slow. |
I dont know which side to take because both are equally tough ones. Idealistic professionals are few but still there are performers. I am not satisfied by the sides given. |
