The labours will be coming for the commonwealth games. So government should make labour houses for them at least for temporary purposes so that they don't increase slums in Delhi and once their work is over and once their work is over, Government should make sure they shouldn't stay in Delhi any more. |

Hi friends ..... If the government or any company is going to start some big project they should first arrange the basic requirements of the labor, until then they should not be give the licence to start the project. This should be made as a ground rule for any project where many labor involves. This will reduce the slums....... :) Thanks.... |

Delhi is the fastest growing place compare to other places in our country. The migrated labours will definitely see better opportunity in Delhi and they will be absorbed as usual. The idea of issuing licenses to companies after verifying the basic facilities in labour camps is good, but it should be ensured. The companies engaged in construction activities should take the help of NGOs or entrust them to manage the camps with a complete package that includes his/her return to native place.
The Government should ensure that the company executing the works arrange for housing the construction workers.After the work is finished they should be relocated.

The people who are working in construction are the unstrctured labour and they would not get the benefits as per labour law in India. When the construction labourers are also treated as the structured labour, they get all the benefits such as ESIC, PF, Casual levels, permanent houses, etc. As a result, the problem of adding new slums will be reduced. |

Pre-fab houses should be provided, along with the basic amenities, the developers should see that there's creche, temp. educational facilities etc with the project. As the labour normally stays till the duration of the construction 2 -3 yrs. |

It,s all a temporary phase and no need to worry . only steps must be taken to care presently abut their hygene. Later on they may migrate to the places where they get work. Because Deli may not be able to accmodate such a high volume of workers further. Only ten percent may be absorbed. |
