The corruption in every sector of our country is eating the growth of our country. The big example is corruption in 'SARVA SHIKSHA ABHIYAN'. UK Govt gives us money for that besides financial crisis in England & Europe. In India big 'BABOOS' use it dishonestly & do corruption which is shame for us. Corruption in education & defense is very serious. If we want to become a super power it should have to control.
Right to Information shall have to include in syllabus.
Strict law enforcement against corruption.
Compensation from corrupt persons for cheating & making loss to the Govt.
E-Governance is the best example for preventing corruption at least some extent.
Special courts for financial crimes( For Fast Results)
Campaign against corruption.
It is duty of us to stop & oppose corruption whenever possible.

what's new in this. Just see several development programmes implemented by NGOs of government work. Government very simply invite NGOs to implement there work but hardy any programme keep financial provision for manpower support.
maybe there are some more similar discussion but need more inputs on where the corruption is seen in SSA will anyone care to share?
Dear Omkar can you be more specific about corruption in SSA ? I am sure the discussion will lead to identification and rectification. Please throw more light on this subject it is very very close to my heart.

Link punishment to power that a person holds in office and the salary. Delays & Omissions and not only the acts of commission should be severely dealt with. Make life difficult for a corrupt in society as well only then we can expect some breath for our future generations.

I accept your point of views Mr.Ravindra Ji.
Corruption forever travels from Top through commission or omission.
Suggest higher punishment for higher echelons in all spheres.

Reimbursh the money from corrupted person, High punishment, Termination after found guilty, speddy justice, special court for corruption matters,

in India speedy action in legal system is unimaginable, forget punishment the person has to stand in the department where he is doing such activities and or each IAS/IPS should be under video surveillance during office hours

Let me tell you few things, which will curtail the growth of corruption. 1. Every year the politicians accounts to be audited by a special auditor to see if he has bought any assets in his name or in his family/benami name. 2. check his cash/bank position 3. monitor the works and deeds of government officers if these two groups of people are cross checked certainly there will be improvement for better. sahayaraj |

Wherever the bids are chosen on the basis of limited specifications+price, the government procurement should be done on an automated computer basis, . IT systems should allocate the contract on the basis of the specifications+price without the interference of anyone.
Wherever a committee has to decide the merits of specific proposals which are different from each other in terms of specifications, the government procurement should be made transparent to public by publishing all details online on a daily basis. There should be a list of what bid by which company is being considered as successful, and what were the bids by others. The public should get a chance to raise an objection immediately, and there should be an independent judicial officer who should be anonymous to either the government department or the objector (so that no carrot or stick can be used for influencing).

There is no timeline to finish any job which leads to extending any work to endless time thus refusing good governance to the public at large. Once the IAS involved is given a task he has to finish it within a time frame or else he/she will not be promoted.

If responsibility matrix is fixed with deliverables mentioned on the given time frame there will be least chance to escape or else a year in governance is always 18 months
