Firstly, do a self evaluation; is it a 3, 4 or a 5 star property? Being into service industry, it must look into translating its services into some form of tangibles in its communication endeavor. This is good for brand recognition.... Again, i would like to add that there is no fixed formula for marketing activities..... research backed with careful planning and its implementation is the key to success.. Today, there are very few hotels who are going in for Ads on television. Nowadays television is a very good source of spreading awareness amongst people. And it will definitely increase sales.

I agree with Mr. Dalvi. Majority of the people today spend most of their times in front of TV. By generating a creative advertisement on TV, we can very easily spread awareness among people.

Though signboads and posters are the most well known and old form of advertisng.. but if its done in the right place and time with a professional cosmetic changes like using 3D images, or visual effects or some sort of its kind will immediately attract the attention every people moving around it ... and i also believe that such an mean is more effective than spending on any other advertsing methods..

Since people are moving around the city alot and keep sighting newer posts while they are in que of some form and moreover as many authors have suggested that VISUAL LEARNING AND IMAGES LEAVE A LOT MORE IMPACT THAN PRACTICAL OR DOCUMENTARY ONE..!!!.. so using these old techniques in a new attractive form would definately help any industry to boom and flourish rapidly....

Hotels should adverise on search engines like google,yahoo etc.As when it comes to searching for information on hotels, the study suggests that 81% rely on search engines when looking for business overnight accommodations vs. 67% personal.Consumers rely on search engines throughout the trip-planning process more so than travel search sites,

Get a database of Upper Class, and upper middle Class. Get the database of their Birthdays and anniversaries.

Wish them.

Then gift them with a discounted offer for anniversary/ birthday.

We can offer anything from Banquets for party, to a holiday package with Gold card membership. Let them name it .. try giving ... se the clientel rise...

How about this idea..?

There is no bigger advertisement than offering a client the very best service. Even in five starred hotels in India, you can find smelly and dirty cutlery, dirty tables, soiled floors, lizards,cock-roaches and house flies. If you can take effort to get rid of these by giving importance to quality, then there is no bigger creative marketing than telling the client that we don't offer flies, insects and unclean cutlery.
