In India we have very ridiculous situation : for appointment of a PEON in Govt. Service It is required at least 8th or 10th Pass but for A Minister who runs our country, Education is not any more required.

Yes I agree.....it is ridiculous.

An undergraduate degree must be made compulsory for representing the people in any capacity. If you wish to stand for election and serve, then this criterion must be met.

Basic IQ Test

I think some IQ test would be helpful to check whether a person is eligible to be an MLA or MP. It will also solve the issue related to the retirement age of politicians because if a politician is good enough to clear the test then no need to retire him as  retirement is given at the age when someone can not give his 100 %.

Dedication for the growth of country

i think for politician,it is important to know that the person had involved in any type of social services in his life previously because i think ,we need politics mainly for general public help or for the growth of our country and he must  have accurate knowledge ,which is required in any political circumstances for welfare.if people ,who are involved in politicians are well educated but not interested in general public help then their is no use of education at all.
