Administrators are faced with the classic confrontation between individual needs and organizational needs, requiring them to spend a major part of their time attempting conflict mediation.  The "appropriate" management strategy in a given situation requires accurate identification of both the conflict origin and participants, and their relationships, So, share some ideas in order to apply the most effective resolution techniques? Each person determines their predominant conflict management style.

Conflict is a reality that crosses all organizational boundaries to affect individuals, groups and disciplines.  It can initiate productive change and vitality or it can lead to the demise of an organization, In order to manage it as a creative resource, administrators must recognize that conflict exists, and bring it out into the open so that the issue can be effectively dealt with.  Understanding conflict will enable administrators to deal more effectively with the problems of organizational efficiency, stability, governance, change and effectiveness......

Sudeep I'll go with you, not only should administrators endeavour to understand conflict, but they must also be careful not to fall into the trap of viewing it from a negative perspective.  Handled properly through an appropriate conflict management style, conflict can enhance an administrators efforts in reaching goals...

An individual pursues his or her own concerns at the other person's expense in work place.  This is a power oriented mode in which one uses whatever power seems appropriate to win ones own position.When to use Competition You need to stand up for your rights it may be for quick decision or to meet steamroller type of person.

Identify key variables

Conflict is inevitable but management can take advantage of this by putting proper strategies in place & defining key variables in conflict management situations. Like if there were never any time pressures, collaboration might always be the best approach to use. But, if time is precious and if you have enough power to impose your will, forcing is more appropriate. So depending upon those key variables proper conflict management strategy should be in place to resolve conflicts effectively......
