1. until and unless a sales person is not in the field the leads cont be generated.

2. go for references from ur old contacts

3. read economics times, news paper watch ndtv profit  everyday then u can know the expansion plans of the  top companies.

try google but try to think out of box because all the  things even an ordinary can do then here also lot of  compition  then try thse thngs whre comptiton is not there that  is thnking ot of box ,, try this and plan accordingly

We use cold calling for our B2B services marketing for the last six years and now found to be no more charming and not effective as in the past.We are trying to figure out how well we can execute this internet based marketing.

Cold calling is the practice of making unsolicited calls to potential customers by brokers and it is one of the best ways of effective sales lead generation.Target the market you are going to call. Know your objective, be prepared for rejection, always smile and Have fun calling the unknown.

But now the genration has changed, people need easy and quick turn around solution.

Cold calling is an old tool.. Its an excellent way for lead generation. But, in this new Internet era, the old tools (Cold Calling) are useless. Combining the power of Internet and technology, we can get n no no leads every single day based on our techniques..

I'd say social media marketing is yet to be an effective lead generation platform. However it will surely go a long way in generating goodwill and ultimately leads if done in a proper way! Devotion and patience is the key here!

Also virtual conferences are available and they are easy to handle with. No need to print flyers, Put up the stand etc.

I have seen CXO's.com hosting a conference virtually and succeed in a big way.

The reason why not much business is generated from the Seminars is for the simple reason that over 80% of the contact details you have are NOT followed or forgotten by the time the seminar is over or when you get down to contacting the leads.

It is one of the most important lead generating tool.

Hey, Seminar is a part of Sales Cycle.. You need to have leads, so that you present your offerings in the seminar.. Ofcourse, you can get new leads in seminars - but theres very  little possibility and very time consuming..

Rather if you have an INternet sales lead generation, every thing has  become automatic. Once it is set up, forget about the lead generation step in the sales cycle. You will keep getting leads.. Just focus on closing the sale..

when it comes to stirking the right chord in sales strategy then first factor to be taken into consideration is choosing the right mode of communication for the targeted recipients  for instance, if a product is meant for youth then social networking sites or youth channels are the preferred media ,for aged audiences or senior citizens and house wifes the prime time showcasing  channels ,newspapers,womens magazines can prove to be ideal mode  for enhancing encounter rate of product.as it is known that effective way for marketing is to make people see the product everywhere.hence to compel them to give it a try  and at same time make it available easily to make them hooked to it..which is not unethical as compare to frivolous advertising(or extraoridinary promises) which can lead to hurt consumer sentiments.(recent axe effect fiasco is classical example)."sachetisation" have successfully created stir among  mass consumer .if it doesn't applies to certain category of products then functional efficiency (or supermacy among existing competition)has to be communicated effectively.

Referral marketing is an amazing concept.. But considering the worst case scenario as well.. what if, the existing customers are not happy. They wont be willing to refer.

 

So, internet based lead generation (which i had created as a new topic for lead generation) is the best and upcoming tool for handling the entire sales Cycle.

Yes, exactly.. But Text emailers are the past old ones. NOw a days, people are more comfortable in watching a video rather than reading through the text mailer. So, create a customized video email - Talk abt the offerings - Have your own sales pitch !!!  See, its like you got an opportunity to pitch directly.. 

All these can be done only with Video Emails - Dont upload videos in you tube and send it to clients. That not professionalism..  Rather have a customized video email, create ur own pitch and send it across to your leads / prospects. You cannot get customizable video emails any where other than sole distributors like me..

Hey, Can you tell me, how many people have seen through your news paper advertisement / Poster Ads / Radio advertisements..  But My Video Talk can tell you how many people have clicked and seen your video email, how many people are interested in your offerings and from which IP address have they seen your video Email.. So, based on these statistics, you can focus on specific geographic regions as well.

Guys

These is really interesting topic of discussion, why? Because in today's business dynamics, the sales lead is import for each company. I agree to all the ideas which is posted here. But just like to state my thoughts around this.

It is going to depend on the Industry/PRoduct/Technology and also as your past performance. BEcause the priority of each idea here stated will be different for each type of comapny, - start up, small, esablished.

For.e.g Partnership with Product family, everyone wants to be there, but it is not possible so easy, as we need have unique differentior, investment, to make the product company to take us there.

Generating Lead is easy, as we have so many programs, tools, 3rd part to do that. But how effective is it going to be for your comapny. Getting the data is not a problem in today's world. But getting the rigth connects is very important. What i mean is with lead data it is important u get connection also to schedule a cold call/hot call meeting with the CIO/CTO to take it foward. 

So I have seen an easy route is build collateral, unique differentior around your sales, tie my with the product family (SAP, ORacle). And then follow all the ideas posted here in this topic. It is going to be like trial and error. But we need to start.
