The eight successive days of adjournment of parliament without any major business translate into a loss of a staggering Rs 63 crore with the expenditure for each day of a session calculated at Rs 7.8 crore.

The controversial 2G spectrum allocation may have caused colossal losses to the national exchequer, but the continuing opposition protests over a joint parliamentary committee (JPC) also have led to a huge financial drain.

So, who is responsible for this people??

Politicians

idea posted by Amrita Animation/Graphic Artist, Creative design

Both the parties, ruling and the opposition should be blamed here.....and nobody is reaching a consensus here....they are just delaying things and are not doing anything, there is no proper system to over rule things like this and every day the opposition are not leaving the sessions to happen, and tax payers money is lost during this...63 crore rupees is not a small amount by any means. Its just a waste...it should be made sure that the amount lost should be recovered from these politicians only.

Dear Amrita, Thanks for referring this ideate to me. Well, principally I agree to you that both ruling as well as opposition rather each and every member of parliament should be held responsible for the same as their purpose of adjournment is not to resolve rather to show COMMON MAN "Mr. Wagle" the voter that we care for your interest, though on the contrary they are ruining him with this cost. Recovery would be a kind of impossible preposition as they have to pass in parliament to implement and they won't; but a small amendment can be passed that opponents would wear a black strip on their arms and speaker of the house will have to take up their concern in zero hour definitely with a small set of representatives from both sides and resolve with the common minimum program to save cost of the country men.

I think all the Members of Parliament should be held responsible. They are holding the Country to ransom. I think if in one year everybody decides not to pay taxes(Income) what will be the condition of the Government.

The main players in the drama which includes the politicians are basically responsible for the state of affairs. It is doubtful if this situation can be changed.... Thanks for the referral, Natteraja....

Media is hounding day in day out! Any takers? We, the citizens, are the mute spectators, allowing media to gain TPRs. Beyond that honestly every citizen is dumb-founded! Even the God descends in Earth and play the wistle-blower's job, like Duryodhana, our great political masters play a ploy to send Him back from where he had come or threaten Him for the consequences!

Their sole aim is to settle their own scores, so they are not bothered, as nothing to cost them. It is public only who has to bear the brunt.

Dear Amrita & Suryanarayan,

Another scam of thousands of crores is coming up in the shape of housing finance. It may be possible that some more scams may get unearthed during investigations of 2G and Housing scams.

Dear Dilip,

The election law is such, you can't dismiss a Government. It is one way only. You can participate to form the Government by using your right to franchise, but don't have any right to dismiss even your own lected representative what to say of the dismissal of Government. Your right is limited just for a moment of a day to elect a member to form the Government and the moment you exercise your right of franchise you lose every right for the next five years.

PARLIAMENTARY BUSINESS

idea posted by Dr.R.SUDHAKAR RAO MANAGER --MIDDLE MANAGEMENT GRADE --SCALE II, THE DENA BANK [ @ SERVICE BRANCH , MUMBAI ] A GOVERNMENT OF INDIA ENTERPRIZE & CHAIRMAN , THE NEW JAYDEV COOPERATIVE HOUSING SOCIETY LTD , GANDHINAGAR , DOMBIVLI( EAST) , THANE , MAHARASHTRA STATE .

Why do you worry , Miss  Amrita ?   Don't you know , girl , it is called PARLIAMENTARY BUSINESS ?  Haven't you  heard of HOME ?   I will  explain .

The Ministry of Home Affairs deals with a wide range of Subjects . The Subjects  are complex as well as  sensitive in  nature  warranting  constant Parliamentary Attention . Therefore , there are 2 types of Businesses called NON-LEGISLATIVE  AND  LEGISLATIVE  BUSINESSES OF PARLIAMENT  when it is in Session .  This is also reflected  in the recommendations of various  Parliamentary Committees  referred to the  HOME MINISTER   for taking action .  Do you know who is our Home Minister  at least ?  HIS EXCELLENCY    P. CHIDAMBARAM .  He is educated at the  Harvard University  in Law .  His  Decisions are  the finest  , you know . The Home Ministry  has been  organising regular meetings of the Consultative Committee . Inputs are  also provided for Resolutions adopted by the INTER-PARLIAMENTARY -UNION , THE HIGH LEVEL  International  fora  for political   multilateral  negotiations .

The Home Ministry  held 3 meetings  of the  Consultative Committee during the year  2009-2010 under the chairmanship of the Union Home Minister on the following  Subjects .

1.  Modernisation of the Police Force

2. National Police Mission

3. Foreign Contribution  , Visa etc .

Also, please  be aware  of  Rules of Procedure  & Conduct  of Business in the Lok & Rajya Sabhas  as per  the Rule # 389  and  the Rule # 266  , respectively . There is also  the Departmental  Accounting  Organisation { DAO }  of the Ministry of Home Affairs as a part  of Internal  Finance Wing  of the Ministry of Home Affairs  for payment , accounting  and internal audit  of the Ministry of Home Affairs .  DAO brings out  monthly and  annual financial  statements  for the Ministry  and submits it to the  CONTROLLER  GENERAL  OF ACCOUNTS  WHO COMPILES  FOR THE ENTIRE  GOVERNMENT OF INDIA  as a whole .

I  hope , now , you will begin to like the Ministry of Home Affairs { MHA } , thus having  multifarious  responsibilities under the Government of India's Allocation of  Business Rules .

Corruption or Financial Losses Which One?

idea posted by kanukurthy sudershanrao Operations Manager, Andhra Bank
Are we talking about Corruption in High Places or Financial Loss Which One? is important for the discussion. If financial Loss then we should blame even CAG which had pointed out the 2G Spectrum Scam, The Supreme Court which had queried the Silence of the Prime Minister for 16 months and so on. If we are concerned about Corruption in High Places then we should not calculate the financial loss if some good comes out of the imbroglio of setting up JPC.

USELESS POLITICIANS

idea posted by NATTERAJA R. ARIKRISHNAN GM-Projects, Bentec Electricals & Electronics Pvt. Ltd

I feel extremely sorry to use this words. Friends I beg your pardon. But no other go. What to do? Our country is like the garlands in the hands of the monkeys.Ego, power politics, scandals, corruptions, & scams in each and every deals of business contracts.Politicians are not bothering about the country's development and progress, but bothering about their own desire and ultimately our people are being made fools and cheated. We elect our representatives to rule our country for the welfare of our society but they are ruling/earning the money and misappropriating for their own selfishness, successors and heirs. The law makers are the law breakers. It is matter of serious concern and big threat to our country. The enemies are inside our country only and not from outside.

Thanks for the referral Ms.Amrita.

The ruling party wants to save its position by protecting the wrong doers. It is not willing to accept the facts and irregularities. Both the ruling party and the opposition lack will to fight it out as both have their hands full of misdeeds.
