We can see that there is no one pure and right who deserves to rule the state and thus a non-co-operation movement should be started by the public against the corrupt politicians and instead of voting. |

We are responsible at the same time, Government to restrain the functions or we have to force the government to do so. "The change what do you expect, should start from you"- Lets start.

Living in subsistence, illiteracy, ignorance etc. is the fate of 80% Indians. They are exploited by some intelligent peoples/politicians. The educated people take their share from the revenue and remain passive mongers to the situation. The situation has created lot of contradictions to the dream of a developed nation. All concerned should fight to remove the contradictions.

I feel both the parties are equally responsible.
Politicians wants voter to remain uneducated/uninformed so that they can drive them for there benefit, as-n-when require.
People are responsible because of they know that voting to any is going to be vain for him in long run, so why not to accept whatever comes now and sale a vote. So may it be a TV, rice@Rs2/kg, a laptop, note of Rs500, a liquor bottle to enjoy one evening, etc...
Can we think of basic minimum qualification for voters too???
Can we think of preventing voting of such voter for next 2/3 elections, if caught???
The best way could be, give an option of "None of above" and then see how many purchased votes turns to be loyal.
Many things, hope next agenda of Mr Hajare is cleaning of election system.

Electoral Reforms is the only way corruption in southern region in election will be stopped. Election Commission in an interview with one of the national channels said whatever they could do this time, they have done, and a lot more needs to be done. That can happen only when the electoral reforms is brought about. CEC said Shri Anna Hazare talked about it, and he welcomed the move.

After the emergency was declared in 1975, there was a marked increase in the efficiency levels of the people and a substantial decrease in the corruption. Indians do not learn if they are told in a polite way. They need to be given the stick ocassionally to make them fall in line.

no dhrnas no stage shows, no fasting......if we have to curb corruption then we the people of INDIA have to rise together and punish these corrupt authorities by thrashing them in public....be it the case of corruption in south indian elections or any other case.......but a public uprising has become very necessary now.........

The politicians should be made to pay for the Freebies from their own pockets and not the public money.
The constitution should be amended accordingly.
If not this Freebies will continue and the elections a mere farce.

The charismatic politicians mesmerize the masses and this weapon should be countered by exposing their corrupt practices ans how the common man is paying through his nose.

The Election commission which takes note of a large flotilla of cars accompnaying candidate and such other trivial things but does not bother about the bribes being given to the voters through political speeches. Are the commissioners sleeping do they not hear these things or is convenient for them to look the other way so that they can continue in their role.

Harry Potter has been a huge success through and through and the fan base has kept on increasing. While we are struck with some movies which are totally meaningless and give no entertainment this series from west has gained popularity globally.... |
This is something I never knew. Inspirational indeed but I some how do not feel that one needs to buy posh things to show superiority . Thanks for a nice informative post. |
Lot of freebies are all around in Tamil Nadu and recently the Election Commission has seized Rs 5 crore in cash, which was hidden in a private bus in Trichy. The money, meant to bribe voters, was just one part of the over Rs 33 cror in hard cash... |
