It is the responsibility of the people, and not only the police, to check the circulation of counterfeit currency.The police can bust such rackets only if they get information, but people can prevent the circulation of fake currency if they are aware of the difference between the genuine and fake notes. |

Responsibility of a citizen is prime and government. I presume if the the amount withdrawn from ATM or banks is less, probably many would just like to get rid by some unscrupulous means, like giving to sabjiwala, small shopkeeper and many more ideas, since even the banks like to pinpoint how you got this fake money instead trying to solve the issue.
How do the fake money makers get the templates and the machines need to be found ? How big is the racket, possibly bigger than stamp scam ? Why the banks or the RBI is not very serious about it ? Is the real money being exchanged in some form ?
i agree it is the responsibility of people to keep check on this, as it will not be possible by government alone to stop this only with the help of common people this can be removed people should inform police about any such incident as these days even in atm's fake money is circulating.we all should do efforts in the direction to stop these illegal activities which r harmful for our country and for us

Mostly culprits from foreign lands who have common boarders with us are circulating such foreged notes. Insiders in India may use such fund as "Black Money" - but that has not been established. Such notes may be called 'money' if used by people as money - but these are not. So holding such 'paper' for creation of black money may not be a good idea. ----------- The RBI / Govt. propsed to introduce notes made of artificial (polymer) papers with added security threads. How far this is away ? |

not only the awareness of the people is required in this issue, but security of the cueency notes also needs to be increased . so that faking becomes difficult job for the culprits.....by changing some parameters like the paper quality ,watermarks............ |
