This is doing nothing good except delaying the real purpose. First Baba sat on fast which was toatlly unnecessary and now Anna and team boycotting th meeting and again sitting on fast will only dramatise and worsen the situation!! |

Another fast was uncalled for. He should get to the 'brass tacks' of what needs to be agreed on in the bill and have it passed ASAP instead of boycotting the meetings. Govt. will always play a delay tactic card, for many reasons, Anna shouldn't add to it. For our corrput system to get cleaned up is going to take a long time, nevertheless the act should begin. If the Govt. fails to come to a decisive final bill then pressure tactics is justified. Let the meetings be video recorded and televised for all citizens to be appraised, then there will be clarity and progress in this matter which would automatically prod the govt.(ofcourse with a little public pressure) to a determined goal.
I agree. There is a difference between being angry and being insane. Anna's team is not to be believed if they delay Lokpal draft with another agitation. You talk to Govt. on part of us without being elected by us. We support you to make Govt. responsive but not manipulate it. Stop delaying and playing authoritative. Govt. is superior to us as we have them in constitution. They are responsible and at least I will vote against them if they are not sensitive on present issues. We need Anna's team to stop playing freedom fighters. We already have our freedom. Lokpal bill in monsoon session is important for us to believe in our system and in our Govt. Anna's team should understand the responsibility they have volunteered for.
I dont know now it seems Anna is also not a leader but dictated by some body in his group and a very weak hearted man will never be successful as an active member of Lokpal.

The attitude of the Govt. shows that they are non-serious about wiping of corruption from the country since most of the ministers in UPA Govt. are tainted. From the beginning Mr. Diggy is resorting to mud slinging right from the beginning . Govt. itself is resorting to delaying tactics.

Its about a self-righteous personality wanting to offer corruption-free system to our future generation! The cause is much bigger than an individual. People from all walks of life, literates and the illiterates have now been voicing their concerns in "collective bargaining" way, which was scripted by Anna Hazare.
It is not that easy to take decisions especially in a coalition government. Now their main and important task before them would be to secure their own positions first before anything else. If we have a single largest party which respects these ideas then there is a chance of implementing such a rule. It would be very difficult to take decisions and at the same time satisfy all the coalition partners. In this web of regional parties, it is not impossible at all.
The move is totally countable to make the government realize about the seriousness of the issue. Government is charging Baba Ramdev for corruption. A person living in house made of glass will never throw stones at others. It is a move to defy Baba's steps. Anna Hazare's move is the right step towards wiping off corruption.

It is good move by Anna camp to use of pressure to their advantage. The way the issue was getting sidelined and being dealt in non-serious manner was becoming evident to the camp. |

Purpose, Reason and method are forever important. Just participating or endorsing a view that is against the purpose of bill is seen as defying purpose.

The question arises - WHAT IS THERE IN THE MIND OF THE MEDIA to ask such a wrong question from an unconcerned section? CLEARLY, the question is meant for the Anna Hazare's Camp or Anna Hazare, but you are asking from the members, who are not supposed to know what is in the minds of the Anna Hazare's Camp. Moreover, your question does not match with the text you have posted about the question. You are asking what is in the minds of the Anna Hazare's camp, but you have asked from members about their thoughts, "Now how is this going to be a good thing" about Anna Hazare's oncoming fast against externment of Baba Ramdev, which has no link with the nature of the main question topic. So, all this gives clear vent to the media's wrong intentions about some wrong propoganda about Anna Hazare and his camp by asking something else against a wrong question to the members of this forum, who can't be expected to know what is in their minds (Anna Hazare's Camp) or the results of intentions of that camp. The question now arises, why the members of media try to collect wrong opinion on misleading question from the members of this forum? So, not the members of this forum, but the author of this question needs to clarify, WHAT IS IN MEDIA'S MIND IN ASKING SUCH A QUESTION FROM THE MEMBERS OF THIS FORUM, WHICH ACTUALLY WOULD HAVE BEEN ASKED FROM THE ANNA HAZARE'S CAMP, AS THEY ARE ALWAYS HANGING AROUND ALL SUCH PERSONALITIES TO CARVE OUT SPICY STORIES? However, the Government's move would lead to chaos that can prove as death knell for the present Government. CLEARLY A FOOLISH DECISION BY THE GOVERNMENT.

What I think is we need to focus on the issue of corrupt system as a whole rather than discussing particularly who are doing what and why. Anna or Baba Ramdev or BJP/RSS ...whoever works to fight against this demon of "ANTI-CORRUPTION"....the point is that conman man knows what's going on in our country. Our country is in serious crisis in this historical era of scams after scams ..be it Common Wealth Games Scam, 2G Scam or whatever...list is endless...and there has to be an independent body/Ombudsman to carry out the action again guilty and punish them with most severe punishment possible! "Lokpal Bill" need to be passed ASAP and this is what present government doesn't want since it's so much deep into Corruption that they themselves are threatened of any action against them for being corrupt. They are not serious about this issue at all and taking all sort of action to "crush the anti-corruption movement" as can be seen by yesterday night incidence or say historical event happened at Ram Lila ground. This is highly condemnable since our is a democratic country and this panic decision of present Congress/UPA Govt. is inhuman and anti-democratic which would definitely lead to nation-wide agitation around the country and resulting into the fall of present Govt. For sure..MARK MY WORDS! BJP is certainly a better choice since Congress always have been favoring criminals and it is the most corrupt of all since Bo-Force days I suppose. I don't know why the people have elected Congress at all. Anyway....rest later.

Before we talk about the possibilities of the implementing the bill, we should take the ground realities into consideration. Unless until if we have a stable and single largest party without depending on any of the coalition partners, then there is possibility to do so.

It should be rather a national uprising against the corrupt govrenment, be it at the centre of state levels. Only the mass will be able to bring in a change. And the motivator in Mr. Anna has found the chord. Let us ring in the change.

It seems to me that Anna is targeting to secure a position in the center with most powers and authority, at least after the recent developments in the Lokpal panel that PM and the honored justices of SC are to be included, now this is the height of being crude and rude and a democracy can never allow such kind of direct insult to it.
Apart from this the Social part of the Panel is concentrated wilt the near and dear ones of Anna. Moreover there is also a family in it the father son duo, the Bhushan family so the whole concept becomes a CORRUPTED JAN LOKPAL PANEL effortlessly by itself. Was Anna unable to find candidates for the panel? Why must he be there inside when he declares no political intentions within himself? Why after 45 long years the bill is not passed? there must be some reasons. Why after the publications from the government on the recent scams and frauds, Anna choose date for his high profile Anshan? Did he feared that he will not draw the public attention if he has done it before?
All these questions motivates me of this point what I gave given.

Other than boycotting, fasting, we didnt learnt anything to fight against the person with power. The power politicians trying to break the unity of the persons against them. Its rediculous for a country which ask for the seat in Security council, first give pass the bill on security of our asset and we look after the international safety. I am a supporter of the present government, and today's situation shows me like, we are in emergency. If a good opposition is there then the Congress Saga (Soft with Criminals & Shows the Power on Common men) could have ended in earlier ages.

Kavita can't you see that the govt. has tried to divide & use Baba Ramdev against the Anna's group and fell flat. Since it is issue on corruption rightly Anna's group has supported Baba's movement & condemn the atrocities carried out by the Govt. on women,children & men during midnight coup, which was uncalled for & in-human act.
One of his demand to declare money stashed abroad as National Property & to be confiscated, thro' ordinance is a Brilliant idea, so black money will not go out of the country, if found the entire money will be lost to Govt. Even Anna has not thought on this line.

All that we need is a Lokpal bill. A sub system that is going to help Govt to fight corruption in Public Governance. It is mooted by Anna Hazare Group. It does not mean that it is to be enacted by them only. Any eligible / competent individual who help achieve the Goal of enacting the Lokpal Bill to the Govt is enough. As long as it is accepted in the parliament & passed through, it is well good enough for us to have a milestone . Hope Govt will explore a possibility to do it with the help of one billion people in India. |
