Friends, the definition of the workplace is rapidly expanding. More than half of today's workers would like to telecommute to work. Expect this trend to continue to grow through the new millennium. The "virtual workplace" raises new questions. What obligation does a company have to provide a home workplace? This issue created the culture of, working from home. Nowadays many companies are developing new policies for employees who work form their homes and thus helping to reduce unemployment. |

I agree with you friend, and I think the continuing restructuring of corporations emphasizes reduced levels of supervision and focusing on a team approach to business. This realignment changes traditional workplace communication. For example, it becomes harder to press grievances up through the ranks. This will force corporations to identify a handful of individuals responsible for receiving workplace grievances. One of the keys to being masters of change will be to stop and celebrate when you have achieved corporate milestones. If you want your workers to embrace change you have to make it fun and rewarding. |
