Brands can use mobile coupons to connect with customers like they can distribute coupons and vouchers through mobile. They can send the coupons as bar codes and then scan it at the point of redemption to execute the transaction. The other way is to send it through SMS. In this system, they can send message containing coupon number, which could be punched into a PC and validated. The coupons could be a ticket or a discount coupon, which a retailer would like to give to its customer. E.g.- One can do this with any Telecom service provider where entry passes for a show could be distributed or discount vouchers for retail outlet transactions could be given.

There are a couple of new products in the market
a) which support barcode in mobile
b) Autheticate communication from mobile, including sms without storing in the data. The development in this space shall
now move fast including the development in the area of NFC

Multimedia messages can also help brands to convey
information in an interactive way. Mobile content push should be done where banners, music and video content is pushed to phones depending upon the time & place customers are into.
