Today digital audience is getting bigger by the day and internet connectivity is reaching more people on a regular basis and Social networking has changed things for businesses infact and there are many Digital services which are there online which are really compelling.

Infact I like the fact that people can interact with one another, where one can influence another person on their buying decisions, infact this is a natural evolution of communication? And marketers are making everything possible to capture people's attention on normal media, but  digital audience on online platform is different ball game altogether.

So, how can brands best get in front of digital audiences?

Traditional media and advertising has always been very structured. Youtube certainly created a new form of channel where people started posting videos and that became a huge phenomenon, so create communities and give those new communication channel for your users which will entice them to use it, and will incite people to create their own communities. I think in future the users are going to define content creation and distribution. It will be people who will be doing things for you in future, so why not leverage on this phenomenon and make sure that brands get infront of their digital audience.

Make new communication channel - yes. innovate on existing communication channels - even better. The emergence of facebook fan pages into mini-microsites is an example of how brands can do / showcase so much more than they had ever thought even a year back. Case in point is the Dunkin Donuts facebook official page. The way the page uses the platform to engage the entire FB community through deals and contests that straddle both online and offline channels is engaging, useful and viral. Given the nature of the web today and the power of consumer evangelism, this is the way forward.

Once again Google is launching its Toogle, -your website could be viewed from your TV. Which will have an immense impact on SEO.

The other Social network sites are not far behind, Organic tweets are being used by brands that want to promote to a wider audience. What does this mean for brands? Twitter is putting a premium on the quality of its user experience. If you were hoping for an easy way to promote yourself on Twitter without having to invest in the community, you’re out of luck. You can’t just “buy Twitter ads” and be done with it. Once Promoted Tweets are available to all advertisers, you will need to maintain an active Twitter account and post engaging tweets that can then be featured through this system.

As rightly put by you, content will still be the king but the medium and its user friendliness is going to be the key.

You are absolutely right Shiuli, and now Search engines entering TV space it will make all the your SEO strategy all the more sense and also Twitter will play a huge role here....but content and online community will what drive things in future, but as you said make it visible and the flow of content on their home page should be so relevant that they should not go anywhere else for information. something like what facebook is doing by integrating its "share" & "like" options all the things what people are reading can be shared on single site like facebook and this will make content flow to users in a really good way....
