Friends, New way of processing rice husks for use in concrete could lead to a boom in green construction. Rice husks form small cases around edible kernels of rice and are rich in silicon dioxide (SiO2), an essential ingredient in concrete. It produced ash with carbon content when burnt, which can be used as a substitute for cement. If properly prepared, it could be a very useful, good material for efforts to limit emissions of carbon dioxide in the concrete industry. Adding the ash makes concrete stronger and more resistant to corrosion. |

Interesting idea contest friend, I think this is an important issue to discuss now because every sector is going green. There are a lot of good things to say about concrete as a building material. The recent one is the development of geooplymer concrete. In a truly major advance in green building products, the development of an inorganic polymer concrete that fits into an emerging class of cementitious materials that utilize 'fly ash', one of the most abundant industrial by-products on earth, as a substitute for cement. the geopolymer concrete offers many improvements on cement. It's much less energy intensive to make. It also can produce a more durable infrastructure capable of lasting hundreds of years, instead of tens. It also provides better resistance to corrosion and fire. By utilizing the fly ash, geopolymer can conserve hundreds of thousands of acres currently used for disposal of coal combustion products, and protect our water from contamination. |

Almost every Indian company -- big or small -- that has some expertise in construction finds itself flooded with orders that are nearly three to four times its annual sales. The size and pace of orders could threaten the development of the... |
Most often, workers are negligent in their work and because of their not being coucious, accidents occur. Hence they become victim of their carelessness at construction site. |
Paper plays a very important role in construction. It is responsible for drawing of plans, design and geomatrical calculations. Recycling paper cuts energy consumption and pollution. Paper recycling can reduce air pollutants by 75% percent and water... |
