Make them grow with you

idea posted by Isha Verma Sales/BD Manager, Larsen & Toubro

The only way you can succeed in business is by making your people grow. Let it be your supplier or other small vendors make them also grow with you. This will ultimately create a strong bond b/w you and the suppliers.

Thus you will succeed in whatever you do.

Yes, live and let live policy is always correct. If you want to grow you should allow others also to grow. The grow only brings growth. After all a business is for mutual benefits and trust.

Thanks for the referral Ms,Isha Verma.

Suppliers should be made to feel as if they are part of the organisation and part of the system whole system. One of the way can be by involving suppliers in decisions regarding improving quality of material supplied, reduced lead time, prompt payment & working together for continuous improvement.

Honesty and team work culture

idea posted by Leong Seng Thooi @ David Leong Freelancer, Management & Strategy Consulting
The problem with businesses today is to optimize bottom line at the expense of suppliers. Through effective bargaining and other methods, suppliers are never felt in the same play ground with us. It is a cultural issue. We have been taught that to win, some one have to loose. Team works are said every day of management, nothing is practiced in real life. So, if the industry lacks honesty, then, there will never be a strong and lasting network of suppliers.

Some time transparency is accorded a back seat over other shoddy deals. The suppliers must have access to your inventory and fluctuating prices. They must feel part of wide network of marketing and sales.
