Friends, today employees are very opinionated about the moral and ethical issues in business today. They care about such things as employee privacy and employee rights. Employees want to know their employer cares about their opinions and concerns. If you're going to create a good employee relations program, you need to have a mechanism for finding out what your employees care about, what they are concerned about, what they think of you as an employer. Create employee participation teams. The more the employee interacts with other members of the team, the greater the employee will be linked with the organization. |

I agree about the Moral & Ethical values in the organisation should be always upheld at whatever costs , but organisation should also ensure that while doing so these should not be one sided and only point figures at their employees and let the memebers in the supply chain , purchase or tender get scot free . probably there could reason enough that a honest employee is being framed by a group for reasons of he being a hindence in their illegal activities.The employee should be given a fair trail and his case should be be heard through a proper procedure of justice.
In the above case the organisation by fixing a honest employee may get immediate gains or solutions for a vexed problem which the senior Managers failed to resolvethe problem due to their ineffeciencies and to please a selected group in the supply chain etc ,but like the saying goes in years to come the problem which was dormant would come to the fore at a later date and could also prove suicidal for the company.
The above conduct of the company will also create a sense of insecurity and non decision making model amongst the employees , who in turn will only become ayya rams and gaya rams in organisation.The company will find to get good personnel at the bottom for organisational effectives.
I agree with all other ideas as well and actually voted multi-ideas, but finally decided to support this idea because I feel this idea is the key and/or encompasses some other ideas such as providing opportunity for employee ideas. From the survey result, solution to identify specific key solution to the organization can be drawn out, which might be ideas mentioned by other members such as improving working conditions & ensuring job satisfaction, fostering ownership & credit etc.
If such specific solution is identified and measures to solve is done, involving employees of all levels of organization (i.e. utilizing abilities of all employees), then that would be sincere caring attitude and aknowledging generocity, and employees would have less stress, finally resulting in employee engagement.
Thus, my idea is starting with employee survey and conducting other ideas mentioned, result being employee engagement.
According to me,survey on employee opinion should be made in an interval basis.Though an organisation should be headed by someone,bt if all want to be act as leader then who will be follower.On the contrary,to build up a good relation between employees its important to take different opinions from different employees so they will also be satisfied working with their organisation.Its needed to organise an employee opnion survey,and which decision will get highest preference,it will be complied by all.Then only we can think of a healthy atmospheric organisation.

cause employee is the ultimate person who is working and he will know what exactly to be done, not necessary to just start of implementing the ideas of the employee, taking down all the employee's ideas from the employee's who really want to improve his as well the employers work force, having discussions committees to discuss the pros and cons of the idea suggested by their employees and if good enough then start implementing it, hence the employee feels happy and will have more interest in working for him as well as for the org & in turn the company will do well to reach its peak......THX for reading......:) |

As per the consequences in the esteemed organisation regarding the relationship with the employees.For instance every employee has an strength as well as weakness in the organisation.So the Hr managers should do 'swot' analysis to the employees. And every employee in the organisation should think that we are working with hundred powers. Than only organisation can reach there goals in certain period of time.

According to me, for employees to work together effectively they should be given the freedom in their work, they must understand group and individual goals. When the freedom is limited, work inefficiencies, lower work quality and low employee morale often are the result. Lack of goal clarity often is misidentified as an individual performance issue. This leads to blame, conflict and increased turnover by frustrated employees who are working hard but not getting the results the organization expects. So the employees should be given the ownership to their work so that they will not blame others or the organization. |

A very relevant point. Ownership of work & related credit should, preferably, be monetized in terms of PLI or stock options. That will foster a better professional culture & self driving force within an employee & his attitude towards his work & organisation.
Yes, Very true....there should be freedom in organization in which you can share your idea as well as people can get motivate for their responsibility from you. However ownership brings hope in us to more confidently to cover up any challenges....One should always understand the importance of work in organization whether it the work is big or less......

In today's turbulent environment, employee engagement is the answer to most of the HR problems. There is always a gap between what you think as an organization that you have done for th employee and what the employee actually feels about. Now feelings are not necessarily based on facts an employee can feel bad for anything that has happened to him or her years ago and he still feels the grudge. So its very important that you know how the employee feels about the organization, my best guess is just asking a simple question would you recommend your very good friend or your very close relative to work for your organization for a life time? If the answer is yes then there is strong employer / employee relationship

Yes to build strong relationships among employees we should be fair enough to handle them. S o do what ever you need and try to be fair enough in what you are doing. This makes the employee satisfied and retained in the company.

I agree that the employer should be fair in all their dealing or else they will create a sense of insecuirity amongst the employees, I had seen bosses throwing a employee out of the system in order to please a person or a group in the supply chain for his personal gains both material and also job oriented.
There are instances of employers toeing the line of the dealers at the cost of the employee for reasons of some llegal gratification the company would have got at a point of time through some business deal, all these are unfair dealing with employees and will bring down the morale of the existing people in the organisation, who in turn will not trust the employer anymore when in comes to issues which may not be in the interest of the company at the dealer supply chain level.

Corporations need to offer three things to the employees: Autonomy, Mastery and Purpose. Autonomy as in being able to the job the way the employee wants it to do, and not by being told and looked over the shoulders by someone. The organizations need to build smart systems for unobtrusive supervision and support for the employees, and let them be the masters of the own work world. Mastery as in acquisition of skills and expertise in one's own field, through developmental opportunities. The organization needs to create an environment where all employees are encouraged to learn continuously, and become masters of their own domain. Purpose as in the greater thing, beyond the day to day transactions of the job. The employee should feel that they are part of something important, something which they do will have impact in the overall scheme of things in the community, the nation or in the world. It is embodied in the rhetorical question that Steve Jobs famously asked John Scully: Do you want to spend sugarated water for rest of your life, or do you want to change the world? Too many organizations today depend on wages and incentives to retain and build relationships with employees. But, money is only hygiene, and does not work beyond a stage [which we may call 'Maslow's Basement']. Friends, I believe this is the time when we need people to be creative and innovative and come up with new solutions. Permanently anxious staff will not come up with new solutions. Solutions are not found in a bunker. So the organization should look after that the employees are working stress free. This can be done by creating humors environment which helps them to relieve stress and work clearly towards what they need to. |

While supporting the idea, I wish to add a qualifying criteria :
There are some element of work related stresses which add very positively in acheiving identified goals for an organisation. Such stresses at work act as a driving force / catalyst for goal accomplishment. The team leaders & HR team should be careful & sincere in identifying those positive stresses w.r.t. need of the organisation & nurture them properly. (e.g. time bound accomplishment of assigned task, time management, team player, self developmental effort by an employee to make him eligible & competent in multitasking, public handling etc)

I think best way to ensure employee feels warm and nice towards the organization is to make each one feel wanted. This need not be huge, but can be in small ways, but really effective and remove irritants in daily life - e.g. allowing employee to drop child in school in office cab on way to office. Simple, not very expensive but needs lots of thought and creativity. Even a serious and sincere attempt to help ease defocusing matter would go miles to establish a relationship with employees. |

Timely recogination or Conduct Employee survey..... all options, still,are some how is a part of "sincere caring attitude". And I do not think if single one task will work in the org. If it won't come from WITHIN. Becuase Employer is build from employee and vice versa. You and myself (EveryBody) had tasted all type of flavours in the past. Basic problem is this selfishness, so whenever we got a chance We use "YOU" and always saying "I DONE IT". Actually, Some of us we debate about problems/issue OR some of us to find out the person [Culprit]. Very rare looking to solution of problem. Org. provide Training but they do think Training person are welll qualified[Just Formalities]. or Conduct Survey [A way of creating story]. I tell you we need to changeour mindset[Board to peon]. If We get sccuess then on criss like recession issue could be not so major for any org.

Look for and accentuate the positive qualities in others. Humbly acknowledge the difference that people make to your life. Validate them by expressing your appreciation for their life and their contributions. If you let someone know that they are valuable and special, they will not forget you. Showing gratitude and encouragement by words and actions will strengthen the bonds of any relationship. |

One way of increasing employee relation is to give them the voice to raise their problems, help them if they are facing some problems like if employee has problem of traffic at peak hours then flexi timings should be provided. This will increase his efficiency and build a trust between the employee and employer. Appreciation if not in the form of rewards but a single mail can motivate him to work even hard. Recognition for the work acts a multipier to involvement of the employee in the project. |

see to support my idia i have a live example . there is a compnay name as IGATE what they do is the meet there imployees as many times as they can and do meetings with them sometimes they as for the problems and other the provide solution to them actually in the industry like ours satisfaction is important but there are other things which are more important one of them is employee care they should feel that the compny is worried about them. when we are able to show such care to employees there will be no means that the relation of organisation with their employees could be broken. so according to me this is how we can keep our employees with us. |
