Help Yourself & Others

idea posted by Sheetal Jadhav Sales/BD Manager, Future Group

Bravo Manmath, you have brought a wonder topic for discussion. I agree to you that the economy is not evenly distributed. For your information 15% of people control 80% of resources. This is really heartbreaking but that's true. There are people who don't get one single full meal in a day & people who don't have proper shelter & clothing.

To see a change we have to be the change. We can't expect it from the politicians neither from the corporate leaders. thus, one thing we can do is to help each other out. Don't underestimate the middle class segment. This is the answer to your question. If people living in this segment realize their responsibilities then you & we all will some change happening.

This will boost entrepreneurship & provide more jobs to those who are unemployed. Thus we have to help each other or else  its difficult to survive in near future.

The mindset needs change not only of middle class but the country as a whole. Yes we are watching changes on a day in day out basis and probably with next couple of years we will be fastest growing economy if every body does his bit.

A Question For All Indians

idea posted by Vipin Bhasin Private Equity/Hedge Fund/VC-Manager, Indian Investment Co.

Although As a Indian i want to be overcome the problem faced by us from many years but i don't feel that the present measures or actions taken by Govt or Non govt. organization will be sufficient to overcome the problem. I feel non stop corruption is a major factor of failures of govt measures/action. Due to corruption all facilities or aid didn't reach at their proper place in proper manner. Less Education, Lack of family planning & lack of awareness are the other major factors for same. Can we will really successful to balance the India's capital ownership?

SHEETAL i appreciate your view but i don't think that it will really help us. Because position is not corrupt whereas system is not accurate. Middle class people also don't want to take initiative in the regards due to our Indian mentality. We believe & depends on others. Even you are agree that we wont have more expectation from our leaders. Which are selected by us as our representative. It means we are lacking UNITY............. A Big Q for All..

SHG, Grameen Bank, Venture Capital

I think Self Help Groups are doing the same now. The government must actively promote genuine SHGs. Corporates can also support such organizations as a part of CSR. The small amounts provided as capital by SHGs to micro enterprise goes a long way in developing the total economy.

Likewise, more organizations similar to Grameen Bank can be set up on the lines of "Private Public Partnership" (i.e., with government and private sector participation). Private sector can participate as a part of its CSR programme. Private sector can bring in their corporate setup (Efficiency, good governance, etc.) into this enterprise and government can give guarantee to these organizations.

Now-a-days, one can find lots of Venture Capitalist too (if they have the right proposal / project and they do look at the right places).

Shed Greed

idea posted by Ravindra Sharma Managing Consultant, CHEF-India

There is a distinct line that separates requirement from excess although most forever try to make this line thicker as possible to confuse unending wishlist with need.

Imagine corporates using excess to adopt needy and help them grow. Possibilities are not limiting our mindset of course is.

I am a student so i don't have experience to share my opinion i wish to read your thoughts what you will do as a experienced and valuable people. As per me if someone say classify the India's capital ownership for future oriented how it will be in future then i will classify India only by two ways rich Indians and poor Indians because after a period of time no one will be in a category of middle class. Why i think so because most of the political people and big company owners has tremendous property than required. But middle class family people mostly believe on job and salary also the backward class families now improved and they can fit into the middle class family. If any well educated candidate wish to start a business by accepting risk it is definitely impossible to sustain with this competitive and well established market where only leaders are ruling the economy and political people are making the rules in favor of these people
