Our primary fuel reqt at present is met by Petroleum sources only. We must promote vehicles with highly efficient solar cells/ H2o fuels, Fossil fuels, CNG etc. Since we are made to depend only on petroleum-- govt has to import bulk- thus paying heavily from the exchequer.

I believe we should go for new innovation for searching use of natural resources like sunlight. we try to maximise use of solar energy and make everyone aware of use it.

To assure energy security by achieving self reliance through indigenous production & doing investment in oil reserves abroad. |

My dear friend Mr. Kulkarni, according to me investment in oil companies abroad will to a certain extent help-- but our investment will again be at the mercy of that government's tariff. We must invest in our own country's R&D and come out with alternate sources of energy, which will be under our control.

In my opinion, India should take various energy efficiency and demand side management measures in transport sector along with other measures like expanding and strengthening indigenous resource-base, substituting imported fuels by domestic fuels and de-controlling the price of petroleum products to reduce its import dependence. |

Power consumption increases in summer and then we see power crisis. Every time there is power cut we curse govt and wish to have private power connection. Ahmedabad in Gujarat already gets private power suly through Torrent. Should same thing can... |
What is happening is good and a little more safety concerns will make things easy. Why to introduce other distracting factors here? |
We cannot live with power cuts though there is a lot we need to do. Nuclear power is the answer and till when we do not develop an alternative to this we just cannot help it. |
