Idea: Local SMS Community Newsletter is the most inovative idea we are implementing to bring the social change through the youth. An unemployed youth forms a SMS community of say 1000 mobile users residing in a local area and serves them with local news and updates through SMS newsletter which is free for the users and earns from local mobile advertisers. Community Development: The rural communities are striving hard for information. We are developing a local SMS micro media to serve these communities with local happenings and information from social, governmental, political, cultural, educational, financial sectors through the local youth. Youth Empowerment: Social prestige and money are the two main factors that can empower and motivate him to lead for his community's development. We promote social entrepreneurship to him with the responsibility of assisting his community. The youth who informs the community himself gets evolved with knowledge, prestige and money. He becomes the Community Leader and leads the local issues. ICT: Mobile SMS is the widely spread ICT tool we are using as media. Due to lack of experience, young people are usually not able to initiate and sustain their initiatives effectively. To compensate for lack of experience they need to be trained to develop problem solving and entrepreneurial skills. We can effectively use the ICT techniques to train the youth to develop various skills they must have to fight in today's competative world |

A support in the form of networks should be given to the youth which would help them to communicate, draw inspiration and gather resources to take action.These support network should include senior technical mentors along with their peers who share the same interest. This knowledge sharing activity would enpower the youth to bring innvations to the modern world. |
