A determined drive can initiate a spark to light the lamp and show the world that we all are part of the great Mother India..The rate of abortion in Haryana and Punjab is very high. Before abortion rght counselling should be given to the parents. Those who are not willing to have girl child should be actually punished with heavy fine.. |

First of the most we need to understand why somebody doesnt want a girl child. Media can play important role by highlighting the parents bringing up girl child rather than hightlighting the man killing his wife for carrying girl. Awareness! Education! more positive information given and shown can bring some % of changes

LISTEN, A GIRL CHILD IS MORE STRONGER AND A FAST LEARNER THAN A BOY-CHILD SO, TO SURVIVE A GIRL CHILD DOES NOT NEED ANY EXTRA CARE AS IT IS NEEDED FOR A BOY CHILD HOWEVER, PEOPLE ARE SO IGNORANT THESE DAYS AND IT IS IN OUR CUSTOM AND SPECIALLY IN THE STATES WITH LITTLE OR NO EDUCATION DOES THINK THAT WE NEED A BOY TO RUN THE GENERATION. THAT IS WHY I HATE RAMAYANA, A MINSTREL TALE WHICH HAS NOW BECOME A RELIGIOUS BOOK OF HINDUS.

Remmber the seventh girl child turned out to be Angel and that why kamsa could not kill him and Lord Sri-Krishna's birth is History. We have to take cue from the pastthe Mother from whom we are born is indeed an Angel,and every girl child is Angel.

Yes you are right Mr. Bakhsh. I agree with you. A day will come when we have to become Pandava's of Modern days. That is 5 men birn to different parents share one woman. There is an urgent need to do some thing so that new borns sex urge gets reduced. We need to regulate the population on an urgent basis. For this we need to treat men and woman equally. stop production with one child boy or girl, if possible even with out a child. Incentive should be given to those couple who decide not to have any child. People with more than one child should be disqualified from standing for election to start with.

Respected sir, the sanathana dharma which says make all the girls braham kumari's ,so that we can bring down the population.guiding the innocent young women that in the next janma you will become queen and rule .Their will be no sorrow,their will be only love and happiness............my question is who r they to misguide people to control the population ?if one has to turn girls in to brahma kumari,the kerela's no third child holds good.one is not misguiding.my sister-in-law she is a braham kumari i really feel sorry for her.when i observed her that she still carries the emotion to have family and to get settled.............as she lost her mother at very early age she can't express to anybody at home and when i talked to her she say's its been 13yrs iam their ,u tell me bhabi if i come out of it what will happen?what people will think???????

As and when a new born girl baby is delivered either in hospital or at home. They need to be adopted by Government for a FREE EDUCATION UPTO GRADUATION and a pair of clothes to ease sustaining livelihood by Social Welfare dept. This can be budgeted without discrimination of caste or creed. |

We have a male dominated society. Every family thinks only a son will take their family forward. Son is the "vamsa-uddharaka" according to our relegion. With out a son you cannot go to haven. only a son born to a son is the hair of the familly. Even though the law provides for equal rights for male and female child in the property of the family, it is the sons who get share. Girls get only during their marriage, whatever the inlaws demand or brothers want to give their sister. Girls in family willingly accept this. Unless girls themselves come forward to change this situation you and I cannot do any thing about it. Mother has to be taught first. Girls should comeforward to work and earn and take care of their parents when they become old. Imagine if you have two daughters and once they get married where they will live, with you or with the boys family or indipendently. Will your daughter say go hell if her inlaws prevent her from coming to your house? or will she take responsibility of your welfare after marriage? If the situation has to change both boys and girls must share work at home and both of them persue their chosen career. They should live with both the parents 15 days each in a mmonth. If they are living separately then should be available to both parents in case of emergency. They need not take each others permision to visit their parents? Will it happen in India. Never according to me. With political parties like BJP and Institutions like RSS/Bajarang Dal and Sriram Sena they will never make it happen. They will terrorise you and are bent upon making woman slaves of men in the country. That being the case why you want to save girl child? Is it to provide a woman for a man? The present encouragement to woman in the Government is only an Eyewash. Ask your Mother, Father, Brother and Husband the first three will say " Na stree swatatryamarhasi" Your Husband might agree to give you all the freedom and might even cook at home wash dishes and help you and encourage you to persue your carreer. So come out of your relegious sentiment first. God is there in every one and you need not find him in temples. he is there in you in your friend as well as enemy. People sell god every where now a days. Once you come out of that you will be able to stand on your own legs.

Foeticide in all cases amounts to BHRUNA HATYA .This is condemned by all Sastras and all religions. Even in SMRITIS(CODES ) this is considered more a serious crime than the normal murder...Because we travelled far away from our own culture(s), our understanding of the social balance is confused...Hence, the present disturbing situation in the society. |

To avoid female foeticide,
1. Educate the masses. Female foeticide is more prevalent in places like Haryana or Rajasthan, but it is very much prevalent in metropolis also among the so called educated people. Make them aware that it is not essestial to have male children in the family. Girls take better care.
2. Implement the law on sex determination rigorously
3. Punish the medical fraternity who abort without adequate medical grounds. The justification for abortion on medical grounds should be made by penal of doctors.

You will never be able to change the mindset of Indian Culture. Most Indians are in 7th or 8th Century mindset even today. Sad part is even educated and the woman including the educated and celebrities think women are there to give pleasure to man and show of their beauty. They paint 8th century Hindu Culture to it and justify. For them Modernaization means showing parts of their body to public, control their husbands and his wealth while performing husbands Puja on festival Like Bheemana Amavasya. Unless our woman come out of this we cannot change this system, Our relegious scriptures that preach a Male dominated society as the best system is the worst enemy of Woman. We need to change this I feel all men should support this and treat woman equally.

Todays childrens are our future leaders so if we want to be the global leader in future we shold invest more in the sense of money, energy, cooperation, counselling, education, in all the children without depending on any class or cast.

If gender detection regulation don't work, then detection should be legalised and the featus given protection and security pre and post delivery states. For bringing all conceived under regulatory scaner, more allocation by way of budget and empowering ngos to keep a watch on the society is called forth as mandatory direction for protecting the girl featus.
