I will definitely agree with Mr.Sharma. The long-term
winners are the fundamentals. Often, stock markets are regarded as an arena for
short term speculation, especially in a rising market. Stock markets and equity
mutual funds are vehicles for long-term wealth creation. Investments in these
should be made in a disciplined way, irrespective of market levels. A retail
investor should remain invested in stock markets over a few market cycles—at
least five years—to create wealth. A short-term market timer is likely to lose
money in the long run, unless he has the gift of predicting the future. |

I do not support the idea of staying away from stock market when the levels have plummetted and going all out when it is showing signs of a raise. At both ends, we fall prey to manipulations by large players.
At every point there is an opportunity. I am for proper appraisal of the script. If you find a script good for the money it is trading on, buy it. Review your appraisal periodically. If the performance is at least satisfactory, keep it.
If ICICI suffers because of hits it has received, we sell off SBI shares! General banking stocks also plummate. What wrong did SBI do? In the long run, we gain by keeping strong, stable stocks.
However, I am just 'OK' on investents in the bond market and 'not OK' on gold.

I would recommend an approach that is a mix of fundamental and technical analysis of stocks and a broad focus on the long term.

There’s a common underlying thread: everyone in the market is unfortunately taking a short-term view. No one refers to stocks as a long-term wealth creation tool. The Sensex hit its 2008 intraday low of 12,595 on July 15, 2008—four days after crude oil touched its all-time high of $147/barrel. On the same day, the yield on 10-year government bonds touched a recent high of 9.55%. So having a long term perspective reaps you rewards. |

They do not even understand what is to be done and to see their mood and their comfort zone, it is very difficult. |
I agree that stress will increase due to office work...With one earning more than other , their will arise a conflict between the both... So its better both don't work together... |
Yes it should be banned, for me mobile is to keep in touch with only those person whom I wish too. If I am expecting an important text message and later find out its one of those silly advertising then I am just .......(distracted) So, in my opinion... |
