With Satyam the now Mahindra satyam is putting all its efforts to pull itself out of India's largest accounting fraud, Satyam Computer Services is aiming to regain its spot among India's top software exporters by 2012.

In a recent document circulated among its employees, Mahindra Satyam's management said, "2012 is our point of arrival to be among the top five Indian IT companies." But then that will be not that easy for them to achieve as most of their clients are not continuing with them, as when the fraud happened, many of their higher officials left satyam and taking clients along with them to other IT players in this segment, so to get back on top they should do most of the things right, and to clean the tainted reputation it takes a real effort. So, people how can Satyam be among top 5 Indian IT firms by 2012? do share your views...

I think after all the satyam fiasco, now Mahindra satyam should set up dedicated teams to work with and get more business from its long-time customers as well as to bring back clients who had left. In fact & according to some sources, the firm has won back some old clients but no names could be confirmed in that regard....so getting back the old clients will be half the battle won for them, as earlier Satyam had very good business and was a IT services company in the country, so this is where they should focus more if they want to come back to the top again.

Well said Nikhil...Mahindra is the plural for success..precisely bound to succeed...they are quite  capable to get back the old clients...

The best way to go forward is to instill a confidence level in the old clients, who were actually giving good money and work to the older entity and work on them to establish the fact that the people who are running the actual operations are the same as before. As these were the people who were doing work for these clients and a Top Management change should not effect that in any manner.

Satyam also needs to take care that the employees in its role are not alienated and they are given enough incentives to stay back and work, a this is currently the only possible way to keep costs down and also as stated above to get more work into Organization.

First I would recommend Mahindra satyam would try to retain his employees, problem is facing by all the companies now a days. More people move out will take away their customers right away with them.

Mahindra Satyam has a renewed life line with passing year 2009. The compnay has seens it ups and down. Last year dedicated to world economic resession and shrinking of IT spending by all major companies across the world. All Indian IT companies got impacted by this and have looked for possible way to minimise the operating cost. Satyam was also affected by this econmic tremd. The economi seems to be stable now and is on frecovery part. This will enable the companies to make some room for IT spending. It may not be very high this year but next years will be good business time for IT companies.

Mahindra Satyam will look to make new profiles, associates and clients, in every fields to make its strong presence felt once again. There were no doublt in its capabilities, quality & quantitative work quality and good work culture. It has already started hiring new team for gaining back its position in market. The day is not far away to regain its position with sound team and long list of customers.

If your past is  good a few events can not wipe you out, similarly Satyam has many things to its credit and the government has done enough to clean it thoroughly. Mahindra have clean record and then HATE THE SIN AND NOT THE SINNER. The new identity is good enough  and let us support it. It is always better to continue than starting a journey afresh from the grass roots. Commercially speaking the economics are sound with well qualified and experienced man power with a purpose and zeal.

Dear Mr Nhkil Jain,

As for as I know in reality the management that managed HCl technologies who are now part of mahindra and mahindra Tech  have taken over the Satyam computers.

Its a very brave act for such seasoned professionals to take a hand onsuch volatile business brand.

The seasonsed top management personal who have very indepth knowledge of software business are sure of taking satyam towhat they have predicted after 2012 is a rightful anlysis.They need at least 2 years to straighten the odds  that was created by the erstwhile CEo and chairman Mr. Raju.

Since they have consolidated on the same field as they are presently working on with mahindra soft ware technologies, have worl business acumen as for aHCl technologies can match what they say.

I personallyhave been associated with few of the top management who are really business wizards .

Hence itsmy perception that Satyam would really become satyam as per its real true meaning inthe years to come.

The erstwhile Raju and his managemnt has to be blamed and not the people who have given satyam a place in the world software map earlier.

The clients who left would come back not now maybe laer once they see the green pastures in satyam.

If someone is interested to know (Though I am not sure if it is proper to disclose)

MSAT decided to put full strength in Oracle competency->Oracle competency consists of Oracle Ebusiness suite,Peoplesoft,Hyperion-BI tools,so on)

Among them Oracle ebusiness suite will be 80% revenue generating and here employee strength will be increased by 4.5 times within 1-1.5 years and target is to collect US$ 1 Bn in this field pretty soon.

Pre-sales head count will be increased marginally-To head on the rivals.

If Satyam want to be no.1, first pursue excellence in technology, service to customers etc.. This can be done by holding the best talent team of employees so try to hold its old talented senior employees.

2nd try to hold its old customers with best of services.

3rd look for new business opportunity, develop new business concept and catch the new customers
