Tap the youth market

idea posted by Sunita Mohapatra Product/Brand Manager, Tata Motors

India is a very young country & its youth form its backbone. This market segment has the power to change the country's outlook. The talent pool which this segment carries can create wonders....but the problem is that its difficult to unify this segment & make them work toward one objective that is to uplift the country....

Ensure quality in mind and in quality in kind

Quality is a commodity in short supply here everywhere, top to bottom.

There is drastic need for the governement to be firm in matters pertaining to quality of governance, quality of those who govern and that of the governed.

There is no point in everyone always harping  on growth in some fraction of percentage as a measure of country's success unless the growth is inclusive and balanced.

There is trypical examples around of some countries that surpassed 25% growth continuously for years and then the country is in the verge of bankruptsy.

We need to have short plans that will produce immediate results. The plans should be properly monitored & necessary steps should be taken to see that the needs are met.

You can't have inclusive growth and ruthless competitiveness at the same time. You reject, you want to help, get your act together!

Do you want to be good, ruthless, bad, or are you only after profits? This is such a confused perspective.

Provide more profitable job options to farmers

idea posted by Prof TKG Namboodhiri Director, Metallurgical Consultancy

In India, even now agriculture provides 'jobs' to maximum number of people. Our agriculture is mostly manual and ties up a majority of our population at below par productivity. So wean away a good part of population from agriculture, mechanize and improve agricultural productivity, and  provide alternate avenues of purposeful employment to these farmers.

Ideas:

1.Let them realize the PLEASURE and PAIN of globalization!

How?:Take Youth out into market place and show them how it looks.Show them the contrast !

2.Power of goal setting

Heard about it many times?.....right?...How many of  our youth have it ?Practical evidence proves  5 out of 100 have it!How about a compulsory class in every school  on goal setting? Is it so difficult to implement into class room environment?

3. Financial Literacy:

We can /We should recommend  our youth to take  a course of financial literacy .They can start with Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad Poor Dad series). How can we make our economy strong without financial literacy? Is it possible?

Look ahead policy & equal oppotunities

idea posted by KALIYAMOORTHY Oil & Gas Area Coordinator, Undisclosed

Government  need to introduce more program such as  compulsory 100 days employment to a family, subsistence allowance for unemployed & women unsupported by family, a job for a family compulsorily etc. Such program may endure the poor to prop-up when there is a growth moving up. To certain extent and a period of time, these program may little bit bridge the gap.

Government need to create equal opportunities to all in industry. It may be again  through a program or by law such as Reservation policy (aiming to remove inequality), allocation of funds / resources equally to all states/industries.

Program need to be introduced to awaken the people to contribute their skills in all possible manner in all kind of business & coach them up for economic development
