I completely agree with the above said comments, because its the Timely planning, accurate reports of present scenario and proper forecasting are the major factors which most of the large companies follow in their functioning and it is only possible if you work in a systamatic way and feeds relevant data at proper time, Helps in accurate plaaning and implementation which is the backbone of any industry. And all this can only be achieved by using latest technology be it in manufacturing(reduces time consumption, Resource and errors) or IT (ERP, CRM, Internet). I completely agree with you Mr. Narayanan, If the SMB's become open to and adopt the new and evolving technologies they could find themselves better placed.

I guess every SMB manufacturer should have a clear vision as what they want to achieve and what product would they like to target should be clearand it will help them to grow their business.

I think for a SMB manufacture it will be best to offer new products to
an established market the company is familiar with or offer existing
products to a new market.
I know its very difficult to achieve and it will require significant financial investment. But having the ability to leverage the organization’s expertise in either the existing product or a familiar audience will enable them to expand their revenue projections. |

Every business (small or big) today has intense competition from the market. So it becomes all the more critical for SMB to be clear with their differentiators. If they don't have, then they have to create & then start communicating that consistently. This would definitely help organizations to sustain & grow in the long run. |
