As it is it is accepted that there is great oppurtunity for infrastructure in 2010. In many a places non availability of labour (for construction), nonexecution of work and lapse of funds, Delay in  payment of bills eventhough funds are available are making the progress slowdown. These kind of administrative and coordination problems should be taken care and reviewed so that available resources can yeild results.

It is prestige issue for the host country to conduct commonwealth games. We can show our strength through smooth conduct of the event and for this we need the best of the best infrastructure in record time. Looking at the gigantic project, the construction activities and progress should be monitored hourly basis. It’s now the turn of the construction companies to show their capabilities in targeted time. Therefore, the construction industry is passing through a booming time.

  • Fallout of global slowdown on Indian economy were countered with fiscal stimulus packages announced on December 7, 2008 and January 2, 2009 providing tax relief to boost demand and increasing expenditure on public projects.
  • Government accorded approval to 37 infrastructure projects worth Rs 70,000 crore from August, 2008 to January, 2009 alone.
  • Under PPP mode, 54 Central Sector infrastructure projects with a project cost of Rs 67,700 crore given in-principal or final approval and 23 projects amounting to Rs 27,900 crore approved for viability gap funding in 2008-09.
  • India Infrastructure Finance Company Ltd. (IIFCL) to refinance up to 60 per cent of commercial bank loans for PPP projects involving total investment of Rs 1,00,000 crore in infrastructure over the next eighteen months.
  • noticing all the above valuable details we can expect more for the fiscal year 2010,and by all that Indian infrastructure cal maintain equilibrium.

Retailing is becoming the boom industry with organized retail market. The ITES sector in India will require office space.
