Your Own Responsibility

idea posted by amit chaudhry Senior Consultant, IML
I think this is where we lag, You always take responsibility for your behavior and the results that your team produces, but not the behavior of your team mates. When you take responsibility for another member's actions, you will tend to want to change your team mate, something that often creates dissension.

Yes amith.,which you've told is right, they should also focus on contributions. They should not spend  time thinking about or telling team mates what they should be doing for the team. Think about what you can contribute, and how you can contribute more effectively. Then do it. For example, if you have a great suggestion, don't dump it in the group with the expectation that someone else will implement it. You offer to do it...after all it's your suggestion.......

Stop Blaming Others

idea posted by Amit Madhav Senior Consultant, GKC
This will happen Often, teams get bogged down in blaming members when things go wrong. As a team member you can do two things to stop this wasteful and destructive team behavior. First, eliminate blaming language you may use. Replace blaming and finger-pointing comments or questions with a focus on solving problems, or preventing problems.

Amit that is true they should should also look carefully at your existing business. Do they have the right managers? Should they integrate the diversified business or ring fence the new operation as a business in its own right? And is their organisation strong enough to be an umbrella brand where your core values resonate across the group..

Stop Talking Back

idea posted by Jagbir Singh Senior Consultant, Ernst & Young
I think this is bad habit which we have talking about a team member in private with another team members, it usually involves a blaming process. While sometimes it's good to vent frustration about a fellow team mate, you shouldn't be doing it within the team. It's counter productive, and harmful. Stop doing it unless you have a specific, constructive reason for doing so.

Support your team members

Always have the courage to bear the success as well as failure of the team if you are working for it. I said this because its not always that only one member is  responsible for the success or failure, but it is valued as the whole team.So. my idea is that ,ofcourse you first see your own work but also encourage and help others in your team to work effectively as well.Without getting distracted from one's own work ,he/she should be able to encourage others by making them aware of their strengths and skills & work accordingly.
