Specific Jobsite

idea posted by Chandra shekhar Technical Writer/Quality Assurance, CMMI 3 Software Company, Hyderabad

Specific jobsite for Pharma and Healthcare can definitely change the recruitment scenario in India, as because specific jobsite can only focus on Pharma recruitment and its allied fields.

I am agree with the separate job sites for pharma recuirment so that coz of no applying oppertunity many good talents are deviating from their streams to managment,IT,BPO,KPO..so this is a point of concern for pharma companies.

Campus Interviews

idea posted by pramod.p content analyst, US-based global knowledge process outsourcing company

Have we ever heard of a campus interviews for healthcare and pharma students? May be, but very rare.

Therefore, I feel more and more firms should approach colleges and universities and conduct campus recruitments.

This would not only be useful to the firms but also to the students who would gain knowledge of different firms and their requirements for a particular job profile, according to which a student can plan his studies and career.

IMAGE MAKE OVER OF THE INDUSTRY

Till the big bosses in the big companies don't do something serious about the image make over the industry, the talent wouldn make a beeline towards this industry. The investment or trading line doesnt have great recuritment systemt. Everyone knows they pay well and the job provides a fast learning curve. In pharma which traditionally have many taboos attached to it, has to firstly do away with those taboos, then collectively advertise itself in expert forums, debates and engage with the education system actively. If you don't have great internship program for students, how do you expect them to talk good about you. If you pay them less than banking, they do not exactly hate money. Do cross functional hiring from industry. Do cross functional hiring from other industry and compensate them adequately, give them a good role. Treat customer as a scientific partner, get respect from the medical fraternity. Be partner for them not some goods & service provider. Treat your sales team with high regards, give them lots of cross-functional exposure. A Boss, I dont know of any top B-school where pharma is the choice of industry. By creating innovative recruitment all we can do is hire from the same talent pool. I am arguing to improve the talent pool and make it demand & supply curve favourable to us. Then you would see necessity would anyway make the industry act fast and have wonderful recruitment system.
