You, me & many others like us work in organizations & we all come across grievances faced by us & by others. Sometimes the grievances are solved quickly but in major cases they become an headache for the whole organization.

So, can employee grievance be effectively managed?

Find the reason

idea posted by Priyanka Dixit HR Executive, Leading IT services

This is the basic & the most effective way of solving any grievance. Try to communicate properly with the affected employee, figure out the reasons & suggest the best possible solutions to the employee.....

The best way is to find the actual and hidden reason which triggers the dissatisfaction among the employees which results in grievances. These might be any particular function or process within the group, branch or organization. It might also be some gossips that are spread across intentionally or unintentionally.

Counseling

idea posted by Nilesh Pawar Legal & Secretarial, Valencia Professional & Management Services LLP
Good counseling helps to determine problems they are facing, and what they need to solve them, and how they can acquire the tools needed to do so. The counselor works with a person, not for them or to them.

Organise a Employer Employee conference

idea posted by Amarendra Gogoi Law, Law
I suggest an employer employee conference where employees will be free to exprss their grievances. Although an impartial Counsellor may be appointed, he may not dispense his duties properly and hence direct conversation between parties by way of agendas seems to be the perfect workable method.

Grievance redressal cell

idea posted by S. Muralidharan Executive Director, Knowledge Foundation & Campus Around the Corner
Every corporate should have a grienvance redressal cell manned by those who have total commitment to human values, non-judgemental and objective. Nipping in the budding stage is the right approach, otherwise, the consequences the organisation faces for allowing petty issues to procrastinate is enormous, sometimes lead into litigation causing great avoidable embarrassment!

Proper communication between concern people and management is desired. However, Reasonable salary + moral support in form of rewards and recognition + discipline can motivate the employees and reduced the grievances.
