sometimes we need to download from internet but we can't say that if it free from spywares or adwares.but we need to download so its better to have some anti spywares installed on the pc and configure it to scan the system at regular interval.And with that before surfing we should enable the pop-up blocker in the browser.And there are toolbars available which shows whether it is safe to download from the website u r surfing. |

Use security program such as McAfee to fight spyware and adware. As it can detect and block the program which you didn't not want.

Install a pop-up blocker to prevent adware and spyware pop-up windows.

Internet has offered many wonderful program free of cost know as free ware over the years. Almost all of the freeware program contain spyware/adware and it is included in the user agreement but very few people read those. So beware of freeware programs.

Keep an eye on what you download, so that you don't download those unnecessary adware/spyware. However, most of these programs are downloaded intentionally. When you're surfing, you may see a message asking if you would like to download a special search engine or other supposedly helpful program, or change your home page. Smart computer users always say no. If you are uncertain of the program, do not download it.
