How to fool proof your email password?

These days most of us are on social networking sites , we have different mail accounts and for all of them we have passwords. There is a lot of personal and at times confidencial information in these accounts. It is very important to have a password which is fool proof, which cannot be hacked. So please come up with various ideas which will make it difficult for any one to hack one's password.

Use upper case letters

We normally use the lower case letters which makes it easy for hacker to hack but using the upper case can slow down the hacking process and it may take hours for a hacker to hack your account. May be by that time he would loose hope and try some other account and leave yours.

The password should be of minimum 8 characters lenght. It is better use CAPS than small letters. A study reveals that it is difficult to crack a password with CAPS than small letters. It is preferred that the password must be a combination of Capitals, small letters, special chracters and numbers. One should avoid usage of family member names,birthdays,petnames etc as passwords, these are highly risky and hacker prone

Your password must be at least of 8 or more characters, it should contain lower case,upper case alphabets,numbers and some special characters. It should not be related to your DOB,your hobbies or loved ones. It should not be any of dictionary words. If possible then try to change the passwords with in some days(1 month may be). This can make a password strong enough against attacks like brute force and dictionary attacks.Its not possible to fool proof but we can make it more difficult to be cracked.

Use combination of Alphabet,Numbers & Special symbols

It is always preferable to create a password which should be a combination of Alphabets,numbers and special characters by which it will not be easily guessable. At least make the combination as alphanumeric(Alphabet+Numerics) and always try to avoid password like your tel no., date of birth and other such things which are related to your day to day life.

BusinessWeek says a 6 character password (just letters) can be cracked in just 10 minutes while a 9 character password complete with letters, uppercase, numbers and symbols will take 44,530 years to crack.

to make ur password stronger use special characters in combination with normal characters and remember it correctly. Uppercase letters can be tried easily. this is what i think so
