Plan a Promotional event, it have to be really exciting and different; otherwise, people just won't come. Any promotional event that draws attention can be effective. Advertise the event as widely as your budget will allow and having a local celebrity will attract the one you need the most CUSTOMERS

according to my view, toget more customers to the retail stores, the Promotional events always give a good weight also get induced the target group, customers who specially in FMCG category this method is more applicable to generate the sales, buy Two ,one free Methods,Special Discounts on certain amounts of purchases etc,on the other hand to Introduce a product offering a free sample offer during the purchases these kind of tactics will induced the groups to get in to the stores
To bring attention to the change in customer scenario and make a tactful promotion through internet and public events.
I will go for this idea...promotional events always attract the attention of the customer as well as attractive packaging....and give aways.

A idea of sale may be a bit old fashioned but technological advances have made sales events more potent than ever before. You may contact your customers whose database you have and let them know about the upcoming sale though e-mail news letter. Nothing beats the lure of something that's less expensive for a limited amount of time and sure to attract more and more customers

Sale once we hang this Board in any show room than we know seasonal offers are coming in,always sales go with the seasonal New Year Sales,Christmas,Dipavallie,Thaipongal etc.this is ideal for Home appliances,Cloths, Electronics, also I noticed the Sales offers go through the Compny Bonouses,that mean the end user is getting additional money during the period,there fore always the 'SALE'go with the Season.
Sales is the best solution i think.For opening jewellery shop or Readymade showroom grand opening and promotional activity is needed.But for chain store i think sales (i mean selling our brand through customers to their surroundings,ultimately building brand or good image for our stores) is imporatnt.customers can be easily canverted and can be attracted by voice of their friends.

If the opening is grand it will surely attract a lot of customers. Make this day a memorable one by making a big deal as possible. Provide food, offer door prizes and entertainment.

Make it customer friendly and add a lot of new stuff in the store. Give customer wide range of choice and make him feel that the store has the bet things to contribute. give them privilege on their purchase and leave no stone unturned to make them feel that they have bought the best stuff.

The consumer has become very smart nowadays with the amount of choices and options he has got. What will bring the customer to your store today would be a really unique USP...it can be an idea...a product...a product combination...anything. To give an example here an electronic store can actually hold a 30 mins workshop immediately after any electronic product is bought to give the consumer hands on experience on the product he is purhcasing...this is just an example though. Sale...promotions are all run of the mill events happening in every other store today...think lateral to catch the eye.

All of us here are only mentioning SALES/ PROMOTIONS. These can be done once in a while to attract customers but I dont suppose they have a life. Too frequent sales/ promotions can endanger the brand image and people might start considering you as a discount retailer..and what more..they'll wait for the next announcement of dicsount to buy from you
Though sales/ promotions are good to generate footfalls, the customers should be exposed to something unique inside the store that makes them come back again and again. It could be the kind of variety/ SKUs per product, the store ambience,etc.
A store in Mumbai gets maximum footfalls because it has a play area for kids and the parents can shop peacefully while kids enjoy the games. A lot of parents tell that they come to that store coz the kids force them to!!!

Well normally the services are based on the criteria of smile acknowledge and services..but stops reading in between lines when customer responds to our acts and behavior. Needs to have a sharp watch on the same. |

I think these three are the biggest discounts & promotional events to get more customers & even to convince them to buy more, to come again & to make perfect referrals to new audience. There can't be always sale, but a good range of relevant products with suitable prices blended with above attributes does produce results, sooner or later. |
