move towards organic farming, this will reduce manufacture of chemical fertilizers which in turn will reduce flow of the chemical fertilizers in soil, rivers, ....

Nothing is waste in earth. The substance we call it as waste are food for some other creatures. So proper waste management can reduce the harmful effects to the environment. |

Don't be materialistic and keep accumulating things that you quickly discard in favor of the latest models. Try to prevent wastage by taking care of your items so that they don't have to be discarded. If something is not of use to you, see how you can donate it to someone else instead of discarding it, or else see if there is some way of recycling the item (e.g. selling it to some junk mart or recycler, or giving it back to the company)

By using recycled paper we can help save trees. We use up lot of trees say about 4-6 a year for paper and just imagine if we start using recycled paper we could cut down the number of trees that are cut down to produce a new set of papers and there by reducing the amount of waste we dump and also chlorine bleach is usually used to make newspapers and this pollutes rivers. Its better to use unbleached paper whenever we can.

As plastics are hard to recycle why not avoid buying plastic and also trying using long lasting shopping bags so that we can re use those plastic bags over and over again and why not shift to recycled paper bags which can be recycled again and again.
