Good students often don't opt for teaching as a career since they don't get good salary which they het in other MNCs. Only those students opt normally for teaching as a career who are not so good students in their career. So, if we give handsome salaries to teachers, they will stick to teaching profession and other good students will also get attracted to this profession resulting in improvement of teacher student ratio and quality in education. |

Any profession becomes attractive, when it is respected well by the society. Unfortunately the teachers in India are not respected well because of their meagre income status. The good teachers will get attracted only if they are treated & paid at par with any respected profession. We as parents should also change our thinking and treat the teachers like our own brother or sister. We should stop showing teachers down.
I think you are right Mr.Dayanand Deshpande.
A teacher[guru] is a third god after parents. They are involved in a very noble profession. The students learning from the teachers have become Professors, Engineers, Doctors, Scientists, and IAS officers etc, but the teachers remain same as teachers and are catalyst for their students progress. Hence teachers should be taken care very well in our society with all monetary benefits.
Schools and colleges should spend money on teachers in the form on upgradation, perks, salaries etc. instead on spending money on AC class rooms, interactive video sessions, and other things.
Give good salary to teachers, good people will join and you dont need costly teaching aids. Best teaching aid is good teacher, which only good salary and facility can bring.

We all are aware that " Teaching is the most Noble Profession"... Its time now, to actually make it more Noble, more rewarding, more promising, more attractive, more beneficial, more perk oriented, more work friendly... So that more & more Educated Youth, Opt fr this Profession... This can EFFECTIVELY IMPROVE THE TEACHER - STUDENT RATIO ! This can only be done by the Govt. & our Hon' PM, since it hs to start country wide & right from the Grass Roots. The Private Schools & Colleges have proved this & so, the supposedly Best Teaching Talent is with them. Just SALARY ALONE will not be the answer... a lot of what I mentioned above will have to be part of the ATTRACTIVE BOUQUET, Offered to future Teachers. |

NGOs should show an innovative methods to provide education to them both in schools and out of schools to them by adapting some innovative methods and advocate with government to pay more attention to the educational needs of the vast number of out of school children and youth. Otherwise, NGOs and other organizations of the civil society become silent spectators of this unfortunate massive human tragedy. Non Formal Education could be a viable means to provide basic education to those who would have been excluded from education if the countries rely only on formal primary education alone. They are working hard to convince the government to pay more attention to this problem. According to Peter Bowden, NGOs influence is becoming more significant in: Of around 200 million Indian children ages 6–14, only 120 million attend primary school. |

Right to Education Bill has been passed. This is not enough. Want more schools and teachers. Already the situation is alarming. First Govt. schools and Govt. aided schools mostly in rural and semi-urban places : -- One teacher is seen to manage four classes in some schools in villages - total students 250. -- Schools affected by Maoists activities - no classes for long -- Mid-day meal/s have fetched more students - but no appointment of teachers. Some of the 'teaching time' is being consumed for preparation of meals -- There is no school building - students are being taught under trees despite hot weather ----- Remedies : Increase Education Budget, appoint more teachers, arrange reasonable salary for them, take help from (reputed) NGOs - they may bring in volunteers who may agree to teach with lower salaries. Appeal to retired teachers and retired people to volunteer to teach. Activate those "Para-teachers" who may even allot some more time for teaching, ask present teachers to take extra initiatives etc. Private Schools : In towns, cities and metros : The Management of such schools run schools for profit making. The teachers are paid lower / lowest salaries despite hefty sum is taken from students. -- Pay resonable salary to teachers - dont change teachers frequently -- Appoint teachers as per their knowledge and skill - not for 'relation' with the Management -- If Management is charging extra ( frankly there are so many extra charges ) - provide services for. If charging for Computer classes - arrange such classes in true sense. -- Maintain adequate teacher / student ratio ( U bost of being educated teachers - U should know the ratio ) |

It is clear in India as of this instant there are more studentsto be taught than teachers. Moreover the teachers present are not motivated, prepared or capable to become a coach to the students. However Technology has gained porgress by leas and bounds. Even the rural population have learnt to use a cell phone and an internet. So what is needed are Business Leaders who have finance to invest in a plan to prepare and present a technology based virtual classroom solutions giving guided solutions to all schools in urban and rural locations which can stand in support of making the teacher to cover more children per class. This virtual tech based solution could also be made highly interactive and internet savvy and can be made to reach, if not each, but most of individual students population. This way all will get a highly learning concept oriented, process based and a standard and consistent learning experience, where a physical presence is more to map the student's need to be guided and coached. This will also remove one;s dependency on an individual teacher as all may not be prepared and capable at a same optimum level. Such efforts are being discussed at the central government level with many of the MNC who have been delivering such solutions to US market space and we at MRCC are one of them. Actually the current situation is so ripe for such a solution as India is having the right IT infrastructure & technolgy base. With th Government keen to improve the education backbone in India, the technology base being ready to serve as vehicle, NOW is the time make a solution happen. Ananth [09920278318] |

How convenient it is to blame the government.. There are flaws in government and then there were always flaws there.. now we can see them clearly because many people are coming up and giving voice to the wrong practices.. |
It is a wonderful concept but we need a right plan to follow it. Just an idea wont help. |
Bad news really bad news . 1) We should produce our own arms . 2) More arms means more fight. 3) Only arms would not ensure security. |
