Reduce Work Pressure

idea posted by Leena Pawar Tech Architect, IT Infotech

In my opinion the work pressure is more in IT sector. So by reducing the work pressure and by providing training to the employees will be a good idea to retain them in the job. Regularly updating skill sets of employees is absolutely mandatory as the corporate sector today demands more from their employees.

This is the best way to retain the people in IT. Let people work in their field of interest with proper guidance and workable timelines.

apart from that other morale boosting exercises should be carried out from time to time in the company to release the pressure on the employees

incentives is the key to motivation for working in

IT thrived so long because of the incentives that it gave to people . People getting into the field know what they are going to enter, the hours of work they'll have to work and the amount of pressure they will have to deal with. All because of the fact that this was one of thye highest paying sectors till date at graduate level. Now, with other industries catching up, the IT industry will have to incentivise more to allure people to get into this profesion.

Dear Priti,

You are absolutely right. There are few who r motivated by birth otherwise we r by and large lazy and practically every one of any age and in any professional engagement  needs to be incentivised to get charged up to work very hard to deliver as per expectations and there lies the HRD management skill to optimise the level of motivation by offering incentives at minimal but prima facie attractive scale.

Empower them to think and act smartly

idea posted by Somayajulu Bulusu, PMP Independent Consultant

Most of the times, employees are told to do follow instructions not liked by them. Give the work, allow them to think, plan and execute in their own smart ways.

Apart from daily work, indulging persons in extracurricular activities like sports etc.

idea posted by Akhil Gupta Software Developer, SEL

By making people indulging in the extracurricular activities like sports etc, would not only reduce the work pressure but would also reduce the mental pressure which is quite immense in this competitive market. It would also make people work in team. The sense of faithfulness would also increase among the employ's as they would be more attached with the company and would also increase the productivity of the company.

By Introducing different types of interesting project- Many of IT industry has work repetative type of project , due to that people are getting bored & if they introducing different types, changes of routine work also if changes of responsibility of interdepartment can ultimately keep people working in IT ..
